Bill's final interview is tomorrow!!  I'm so nervous for him.  He's getting a haircut tonight and he's supposed to wear his suit tomorrow.

    YAY!! Where at? When?

My non-wedding related AW: I have the best FI ever....he signed a new contract with AT&T last night, and got the new iPhone 4 and let me have it, and took my 3Gs iPhone :)

wedding related AW....I have my final fitting on Saturday, and take my dress home and have a girls night/"mini bachelorette party" tomorrow night...very excited! I need a good girls night out!

16 days until husband and wife...I'm so excited I can't stand it!

Not really a big AW moment, but had my first fitting with Becky Fowler this past Saturday.  She is awesome.  Besides just being ridiculously cheap ($100 for bustle on a crazy big train, hemming the front a bit and fixing some loose beading), she taught me how to walk down the aisle, where my arms should go.  I totally would've ended up tripping on my dress.  Oh and she gave me, my mom and sister all hugs when we were leaving.  So sweet.
She even said she could have it ready the next day, but I didn't want it back that fast!

I got our Flower Girl's dress in the mail yesterday!  It's adorable and perfect!  My mom found it a garage sale for $10!!  Its a Waters dress, so I'm sure it was pretty pricey!  But it's in perfect condition and looks like it will fit Lauren perfectly!

My other AW..I have my first fitting with Becky next Tuesday.  I'm really excited, but yet so nervous since I havent tried my dress on since i purchased it.  And I didn't love it when I bought it, so this could go really well, or really horrible!

My MOH will also be coming to viisit me in two weeks, really excited about that!!

WR AW: I had a "conference call" last night with my parents - who are still married and live in the same house, but needed to both be on the phone at the same time - about some wedding decor things.  I normally just plan with my mom, but we were talking through this big DIY project we're planning to spruce up the blank reception space, and dad had some really great ideas for how to actually make things happen... he's so cute with all this stuff :)

NWR AW:  Yesterday was a great day for me at work, which has been rare lately.  I'm praying today will be another good one, because I need it!

My husband bought me a really sweet/funny gift.  I've been complaining that one of my bosses removes all my semicolons from documents that I send to him for review - he just doesn't like them, whereas they're probably my favorite punctuation mark (if one can have a favorite punctuation mark).  Jordan bought me a necklace with a charm that's an old-fashioned typewriter semicolon key (well, technically colon and semicolon).  Can't wait to wear it around the office!

    Renee! How was camp?

WR AWs - I talked to the sound/lighting guy at Lakewood, and he suggested that instead of having a gobo made for the ceremony, to just make a white design on a black background and put it in a Powerpoint document. He can then project it onto the curtain. That saves us at least $100, so I'm super excited about that!! Also, I have already assembled our invites and addressed most of the outer envelopes. I don't have to send them out until the beginning of September, so I am way ahead of the game!

NWR - I'm leaving for Austin tomorrow for a friend's bachelorette party. I think we're going to the Grease Sing-a-long tomorrow night. I am excited for a little getaway!

ETA: Oh! And the wedding is 3 months from tomorrow! :)

Anna, I can't believe that you remembered! It was fun, but it's definitely time for me to move on. I was the 2nd oldest staff person there (the oldest was the director) and it was a little harder then usual to get adjusted. Thanks for asking! Enjoy your trip to Austin!

    Stephanie- that is soo exciting!

With all the bad stuff lately I didnt think I would have any AW stuff today but then I got the mail and we ordered some sample invitations a week ago, they told us 2-3 weeks and they were here today.  We arent sure which one we want to go with yet.
     First one

    opened up

    Second one

Close up of what they say:

    Response card

I love the wording we came up with for the invitation and response card...this was a great little bright note in my day

Oooh, Bobbie I like the second one--that's totally my style though.  Love the colors too!
  • edited December 2011

I like the romantic look of the 2nd but I love the with the first its more clean I guess you wont have loose papers falling out then you open the envelop.  FI is all about number 1 because of the monogram.  Which is funny because he usually doesnt care enough to have an opinion.

  • edited December 2011
Bobbie - I love them both!!   I think what I might do is take both samples to the post office and see how much they cost.   I can't see exactly, but first one looks like it might possibly be considerably more expensive to mail than the second.

Tiffany- yeah its square and heavier so that is something I plan on doing today or tomorrow.

I would def check to see which one is cheaper to mail!  I mailed mine out yesterday and postage was 88 cents...  which isn't bad I guess except the shipping cost more than the DYI invites!
