what makes you so nervous about the wedding day

We have just under 4 months to go till our BIG day.

What makes you the most nervous? To me it is the first dance, and the f/d dance. maybe also standing in front at all those people 150. I am kind off a shy person and don't like being center of attention, also I am not a good dancer .....ironic, that's exactly what I'll be on that day.

I have tried to talk FI into cutting out the dance part. LOL but he says he wants to dance with his "wife".

I would say it's a tie between everything not looking they way I want it to and walking down a long set of stairs during the ceremony while all eyes are on me.

I'm so nervous that something is going to be missing. Like the DJ won't show up or something.

Our wedding is the week before the presidential election and that makes me nervous. My family and FI's are on opposite sides of the spectrum and are pretty vocal about their political beliefs. I could see some major disagreements.

    Set up and timing.

We have a very limited time between when we can get in/set up the venue to when the ceremony starts and there's a lot to do.  I'm really hoping we can make it all work.

Other than that not really much; I'm trying to be realistic knowing that something will not go as planned.

TEARS! I think I may literally cry my way through all the important parts of the day and I don't want too!!!

That and tripping down the aisle of course.

being late to the wedding! LOL
My photographer gets to the house for 2...but we are going for first look photo's before we go to the venue/ceremony site.. and the wedding is at 4! unless of course we just meet there and do before shots, but I don't want the rest of the family and guests seeing me there as they show up...

venue/cermony site is 40 min away from our place... oh and of course the fear of tripping since I am an utter and complete klutz!
The first dance... plus my father is singing as well hope that goes ok... so many things to TRY not to worry about!

I'm in touch with the tears.  I'm a huge sap; and weddings in general make me cry.  I have a VERY ugly cry face; I get super red & splotchy.  I'm hoping for just a little misty.  My mom is encouraging me to have a good long cry before I get my make up done and get it out of my system <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />

This is kind of silly but I am nervous about the fact that I have a corset back for my dress and there is only one person who I want to lace it for me and she might not be there to do it.  I have no idea who else to ask because I don't want my stepmom or stepsister to even really help me at all.

Tripping down the aisle.  Having a big zit on my face, I'll be drinking water by the galllons in the weeks before lol.  And my Mom, she babies my son to the extereme & I'm afraid he'll act up to get her attention & I'll want to freak out on them both.

My biggest worry is the walk down the aisle - I'm worried I'll trip on my aisle runner (especially after one of the threads last week).  Other than that, I'm worried that our HM is never going to get planned.  We really need to get on that this weekend. (That's what I get for assigning FI something that requires making phone calls, even though he said he was fine with it.)

Getting everything set-up and finalized. And that I'll forget to get my hair and makeup done and I'll show up to the ceremony looking like I just rolled out of bed in a pretty dress (last night's nightmare) and there'll be no time to fix it. That something will unexpectedly cost a ton and we'll have run out of money.
    And...
    And...
    And...

My head rambles through all these things constantly lately. Ugh.

    Not having a coordinator.

A good friend has offered to coordinate my ceremony, but my reception is at another location, and I haven't been able to find someone who I can hire to be at the reception site and make sure all my vendors show up/everything looks perfect/etc.  The reception venue does not come with anyone to work it, and other coordinators I have interviewed don't want to cut their services for what I need.  They want to be paid to decorate, coordinate vendors, organize the reception, and stay until the end of the reception--which I absolutely don't need.

I've been getting those dreams too!!!!!!  My 5yr old son has seen me in my dress & we told him he can't tell my FI anything about it.  So he teases my FI by telling him it's purple & pink!!  I had a dream that I showed up for the wedding & they had another wedding already going on & I put on my dress & it was Purple with pink lace everywhere!!!  It was horrible lol.   My son of couse thought my dream was halarious when I told him about it.

Our ceremony is outside so I am completely worried about rain!  If it rains they move it to inside our reception room but I'm not thrilled with the way that looks.  Fingers crossed for good weather!

That things won't get set up at the reception venue before guests start to arrive. We are technically setting up the day before but there will be lots of candles to light and snacks to set out before cocktail hour. And that family drama will make pictures take longer than they should because we only have limited time to get them done.

I think the biggest fear is that I am forgetting to do, make, or rent something! I know TK has a list of things to do, but when you are doing most of it yourself, I feel like there are things that are missing like- don't forget about "Welcome Bags" or "Bathroom Baskets".

My fiance is an avid mountain biker and insists on going for a ride the morning of to relax(rather than hanging out with his mother which is understandable). I'm afraid he'll crash and either show up bloody or we'll have to relocate to the hospital because he's broken and can't leave. Second fear would be rain, but I live in Colorado so if Mother Nature decides to finally get around to blessing us with some moisture, I can't really begrudge her. (Though I certainly hope the fires are put out and under control by October!)

I'm worried that my Mother/Sister issues will get out of hand. My Mom has a 'tone' that always makes me snippy, and  I absolutely do not want anything of the kind to happen. My sister and I have a similar issue, but she doesn't get pissy for the rest of the day, my Mom will.

I'm sure this makes me really weird, but my biggest fear is actually having to use the bathroom at a really inopportune time.  That's a big poofy dress so bathroom breaks are going to be difficult already!

I'm afraid that I won't actually relax and enjoy the day. In the end, not much matters except marrying FI. I don't want to miss out on that worrying about details.

I'm actually pretty chill about most things.  I only hired tried and true vendors that I know won't do anything stupid, so I know there won't be problems there.  I have an amazing DOC to take care of anything that could possibly go wrong.  My venue has some of the best food in the area, so I know I won't have problems there.  I'm not worried about the weather because my venue has so many outdoor places that are covered, it won't be that big of a deal.  My photographer did a wedding in the hurricane we had last year, and it still turned out great!

I guess my biggest fear is my clumsiness and face planting down the aisle LOL!  My mom already said that if she goes down, I'm going down too LOL (she's walking me down the aisle)!

My FI is a DJ.  He makes me bride & groom give him a list of people that are allowed to use the MIC.  Maybe tell your DJ she is forbidden to even look at it, let alone touch it lol

I'm worried my dad will cry, reasonable as I'm the oldest of three girls and the first to get married.  I know if my dad cries, it is all over for me.

I'm also worried FI will cry.  I'm sure he will because he teared up last September when I was a bridesmaid in a wedding.

I'm also worried about things going wrong.  People showing up dressing inappropriately, dropping food on my dress, FI dropping food on his clothes (this happens at least 3-4 times a week with him).

For me it's crying (I cry at the drop of a hat!) and tripping. Not only am I a natural clutz, I just got my shoes in the mail and they're a little bigger than the pair I tried on in the store. (WHAT?!) I put one of those heel pads in the back of each and they seem fine now, but I'm super nervous about walking out of my shoe during the long walk.
