E-Photos tomorrow but not offically Engaged!

BF says that he wants to marry me.  Got the rings (mine is in safe deposit box until insured), opened a joint account, got blank invites....

Tomorrow is our appointment for e-photos.  I have no problems with this but he hasn't proposed offically!

UGH!!!

    Please see the responses to the thread the 1st time you posted it.  Obviously you don't want to hear what we have to say. 

    ETA: Why would you even want to take engagement photos if you don't have the ring?  There is a lot of photographing of the ring during engagement photo sessions.

    Of course you have no problem with this...

    Look, they are not e-photos because you are not engaged yet. I'm guessing you set up this appointment (its not like photogs randomly call peoples and say 'well its now or never..") in a fit of preplanning. Now you're goning to drag poor BF to this thing, making him feel the pressure to propose. And let me tell you men LOVE pressure. Nothing is more attractive to them then a BSC preplanner. Please, Please cancel the appointment, stop preplanning and let the man put the ring on your finger in his own dang time, before you do anything else.

    Oh, and for future reference: 

    The NEY Rules of Engagement:

     

    1) All that is required for two partied to be engaged is an EXPRESS AGREEMENT BY BOTH PARTIES that they want to get married on an expressly stated date.

    A. If you have a ring, you are engaged.

    B. If you BOTH consider yourselves to be engaged, you are engaged, regardless of having set an express date, so long as it is the intention of BOTH parties to set a date in the future.

    2) If one party has stated that more than this express agreement is required (such as a ring, parents blessing, degree, set amount of money saved), then you ARE NOT ENGAGED. You are not engaged to be engaged, pre- engaged, or almost engaged.* You ARE in a loving, committed relationship with the person you plan to spend the rest of your life with. Deal with it. 

     

    3) Discussion of 'possibly' getting married in Month/Year and "kind of talking about wedding stuff" does not equal an engagement if there is no express agreement between you and your SO. You are required to STOP ALL PREPLANING AT ONCE.

    4) If you cannot afford rent/food/car insurance/any other life necessity, YOU CAN NOT AFFORD A WEDDING**. You and/or your SO need to have a LONG talk about finances right away. This is the most pressing issue, not what you want your wedding colors to be. If you are not capable of talking to your SO about money, you should not be talking about getting married. 

    5) If you are young enough to tell the wise and learned ladies of NEY that "You're soooooo mature for your age", you are not. Maturity does not need to be asserted, it needs to be reflected in words and thoughts. You are too young to be getting married. 

    6) If you have not graduated High School yet or earned your GED (and you are not a Troll or MUD), go do your homework. NOW.

    My BF says he wants to marry me all the time. Calls me Future Mrs. Nieuwenhuis every now and again (can be irritating sometimes actually lol)....Doesn't mean we're engaged!!! We are planning our future together, moving, jobs, etc...But none of this means we are engaged!!

    You have no business gettining e-photos done when you aren't engaged. Especially if there is no ring...that's part of the photography process!

    I recall telling you the same thing in your earlier post.... See above guidelines and flow chart and quit being BSC.

    I try very hard not to be snarky or b!tchy, but when you come on here expecting us to be happy for you without viable reason...it's unrealistic. We aren't trying to be cold hearted b!tches, but you are obviously living in a non-reality world that we are not a part of....sorry

    Did you expect to get a different response or different people on this board? I thought we all gave you quite a bit of advice, but apparently you don't care. 

    These are not your engagement photos any more than a ring in your jewelry box right now is your engagement ring because guess what? You aren't engaged. These are just photos with your BF

    You know, I kind of get it when 18 year old girls post about pre-planning, but you are a regular poster on the 40+ board so I am going to assume you are way older than that. You really don't see how crazy you are being?

    What a troll. She never bothered to respond to the original thread, and I doubt she'll respond here, because clearly we aren't telling her what she wants to hear, which is 'sure, go ahead and get e-pictures taken EVEN THOUGH YOU AREN'T ENGAGED.' 

    But what kind of NEY'ers would we be if we engaged in that kind of BSC behavior? Really, people be nutz.

    My money's on fake person, fake relationship.  Perhaps he doesn't know that he's getting e pics taken tomorrow, but perhaps he doesn't know he's in a relationship with this woman and she will just be staking out the corner by his house and using a zoom lens camera through an open window.
