Yes, this. It really does help to have your maiden name as your middle name - especially on your license. I had a situation where 'they' still had my maiden name listed despite the fact that I faxed 'them' a copy of my marriage license. It made my day go smoother that my maiden name and married name are on my license.

ETA: Also, Sarah, if it helps - I felt the same way. I really liked my maiden name and didn't really want to part with it. However, my married name honestly is so much easier for people to pronounce and remember. I'm really starting to get the hang of being 'married name'. ;)

They are good!
Someone had gotten into a bottle of ibuprofen the day before but I didn't think they had actually eaten a lot since there was a lot left all over the floor. Then I had come home to bloody diarrhea all over my dining room floor last night, and I didn't know who actually ate them or who had diarrhea, so I had to take all 3 to the emergency vet. Not fun. They checked all of them and only our lab had blood in his poop so they checked his renal function tests and they were ok so they let us take him home last night. We got his renal tests rechecked today and they still look good, so they say he should be ok since ibuprofen will cause renal failure within 24-48 hours so he's past that. We have to give him a bunch of medicine to help his stomach and keep him on a chicken & rice diet for a few days, but he seems a lot better today. They said we were really lucky because ibuprofen is really toxic to doggies.

I think it's just hard getting used to going by a different name! I'm sure I will get used to it and I don't think I will completely get rid of my last name. I just have a less common last name and his is super common!

Natalie- Yea, I have kind of brought it up before and he acted really hurt by it. And I guess it's not so much that I don't want to take his name but that I just don't want to part with mine. I know its just a name, but its been my name my whole life!
