Veil question

Hi ladies!!

I have been hiding lately. Things changed a lot in our lives lately and I have had to put the wedding on the back burner.

Well now we are a little over 2 months out!!! YAY!! We are still sitting good since we planned most everything early but I need a veil!

I was not planning on wearing one but my FI said he sees me walking down the aisle with one over my face. I do not want one over my face but a elbow length one to get the effect for him will be ok with me.

I have looked at some bridal stores and they are crazy expensive.

Any Houston girls have a ivory veil that they want to part with for a reasonable price? Or could I borrow it? I am getting married on 11.13.10.

Thanks!
So ready to marry my best friend! Wedding Countdown Ticker

Just recently there was a post about finding veils  in houston. A couple of the brides found theirs in Harwin. May want to check it out. This is from that post/ thread:

    http://www.occanseydesigns.com/

"I suggest TY Trading - 6875 Harwin Drive Houston, TX 77036-2246 - (713) 978-7901. They have plenty of wedding gowns, you should ask for assistance right away, the dresses are crammed on the rack, it's hard to find a size by yourself, the prices I saw were $199-300, they have plenty of strapless, a few halter and 1-2 with sheer sleeves. This store carries shoes, bridesmaid dresses, formal gowns, all ages for women's dresses (my mom bought her dress there for $120), baby shower stuff, centerpieces, fantasy earrings and some shoes. They have tiaras and veils behind the counter too. It's jam packed of stuff so be ready and have patience "

I recommended http://www.occanseydesigns.com/.  I ordered from there, had my veil within about a week and it was around $40 for a single layer fingertip length veil including shipping.  Also you can google for a 10% off coupon.

call beautiful U bridal - i think arlene, the owner, makes veils. While i was waiting for a fitting, i heard her quote someone $35 for a fingertip length veil with a simple ribbon around the edge. she makes them custom.

What length were you wanting?  I bought mine on ebay.  It's plain and you could spruce it up if you want.  It's a chapel length veil.  I bought it for $20 so we can negotiate if you want it.  I never wore it and it's a tad too short for me.  I wanted it to just cover the length of my train (not too long, but I guess it was longer than I thought).
