reception tables

Hey ladies! Was wondering how many types of tables I should have..ie guest, head, cake, sign in, etc.. I'm getting ask sorts of answers through google : its a non traditional wedding that isn't going to be super formal. Thanks in advance!!!

    Well, you have to think of all of the things you are having and how many people, and go from there.  For example, we had 150 guests sat at tables seating 8-10 or 10-12.  We sat at a regular guest table, so we didn't have a head table or sweetheart table.  We didn't have a cake, so no cake table (we had two buffet tables, and dessert was spread out on one of them after the meal was cleared).  We had the escort cards laid out on a rectangular table, where we also put the guest book, the card box, and any gifts people brought.

    Unless you're having the reception at someone's house, your venue should be able to help out with this.

    They don't have a traditional planner at my venue since its a berry farm. Its the actual farmer who runs so its up to me to figure all these crazy details out :
