Just felt like griping so if anyone else has something to complain about please throw it out there!
Visited FI in the hospital last night so I didn't get home until after 11. By the time I got the dogs settled down it was after midnight. That was fine. Then at 3am our security alarm starts going off for no apparent reason (it wasn't even set). It continued to go off every 30 minutes no matter what I did. So I got less than three hours of sleep and had to be at work at 7am. Yay Tuesday.
What's bugging you?
Re: Tuesday Gripe
I just have my usual gripes. Pain all over, the boss is still reviewing my raise request over a month later, I have no money. But it could all be worse, I suppose.
jcbsjr. Nope, not the battery - it just beeps when it's the battery, like you said. I dunno what the deal was last night but it was pretty much horrible lol. And we don't have it monitored so I couldn't even call anyone about it. Gah.
Grr.
Also, my jaw hurts.
[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Tuesday Gripe : I couldn't sell water in a desert. So selling air filters or whatever would be a HUGE challenge... Retail or restaurant? Yeah, that I can do....especially if I were 20 y.o. again!

I couldn't either. I had a job like that once upon a time, and hated every single minute of it. And made no money either. I'm happy she's looking and trying to find something, but some people are just not cut out for sales - particularly this type of hard-core, create-your-own-lead type of sales. It's going to be a disaster, but I'm having a hard time finding a kind way to tell her that. Her father, on the other hand, could sell ice cubes to Eskimos.

my book shelf:
Modem/router gateway lights were all off in the morning, quite mysteriously as our internet had worked just fine the night before. FI took it to Best Buy to have them look at it (because I'd heard it is often the power adapter that is the problem) and the guy had no idea what he was doing. FI actually instructed him on how to use the multi-meter he was fumbling with.
It was established that the problem was, in fact, the power adapter. The Best Buy staff informed FI that they won't sell him just the adapter, he'd have to buy a whole new device, which was $189 (despite being priced at $99 online). So FI ended up going to Radio Shack and purchasing a similar 2 amp adapter there for $50 (which, IMO, is still pretty damn expensive for a power cord). However, we got our internet functioning again, and that's what matters, right?
[QUOTE]Miss Courtney - God bless ya for teaching. Between some health issues and situations as you described - I had to leave teaching last year. If it were feasible - administrators would have to do a 6 weeks (quarter, whatever) a semester, or even a whole year back in the classroom. They'd get a dose o'reality REAL quick. My Tuesday Gripe: Office PMS.

YES!!! I would love to see some of them back in the classroom. DEAD!!!
@ Shay, thanks hun. I am so happy your FI is feeling better. Now you can get him home and really work on him. ;) I remember the movie on cystic fibrosis when I was little with the girl who had it and had to get pounded on every night. I heart broke for her. I am praying for your FI.
