I have no one to flame on this board, but

I flame the military brides for being so mean to each other, and I flame the whiny incompetence of the budget brides board (except our girls who post there.) Seriously, I have had to stop going to those boards.

Perfect example of what was driving me crazy YESTERDAY on the budget boards:
Thanx 4 all da responses thus far. I thought sumhow not offering any wud be rude but i guess not huh :-)
Not whiny, but REALLY?!?! Type correctly.

    I'm done now.

I don't like the State Fair.   By the time you park, pay to get in (even with a coupon deal) and buy the dang corn dog it cost $50+.   Thanks, but no thanks.

If my husband doesn't start cleaning out his pockets before I wash clothes, I'm going to scream.  Last night, I washed a load of darks that included one of his pairs of jeans.  I also put in a little knit sweater I was going to wear today.  It has to be hung up to dry (stupid, I know).  However, when I pulled everything out there were bits of paper every where.  Receipts, tissues, etc.  I was so mad.  I think I'm just going to let him start doing his own laundry.

I'm also going to flame people that I work with.  They are the biggest nosey busybodies ever.  Yes, I signed up for a conference in district that you didn't know about.  Our technologist sent out the offer to all of us.  I got a sub code on my own and called it in.  I can do that.  Stop being such a tattle tail too while I'm at it.

One more because I just remembered it....

Don't get mad when you can't get married in a church because you aren't willing to become a member.  They're holding all the cards and they can do whatever they want.  If you really want to get married there, it's a small price to pay.

I flame 17 year old girls who "flaunt" their pregnancy the day they find out and claim to be 4 weeks along. I mean this girl found out she was pregnant about a week ago, posted all of her pregnancy test pics. on FB (which doesn't bother me too much but I know it disgusts a lot of people) and EVERYDAY since then she has been posting nonstop about being pregnant.

I guess I seriously need to re-evaluate my FB friends!
I also flame my month board for being overly anxious about everything wedding related, we have 10 months. CHILL!

Sometimes you guys make me feel inferior because I didn't have/didn't want a videographer.

I'm sure all of your videos are/will be absolutely amazing, no doubt about that.  However, don't tell me it's just tragic to not have one.  Because, really, it's totally fine and I personally don't have a single regret about it.

Dont come to our board and ask us for OUR advice/help and then get all pissy when we ask a clarifying question.  If you don't like the way we respond, don't ask us for our help/advice.  We are one of the nicest boards on TK.  If you can't take our questions in stride you might as well get off the boards altogether.

Well, I regret not having a videographer.  I'm not saying I would watch my video a thousand times, but knowing I can never see my ceremony again even ONCE makes me really sad sometimes.

I know we have a wonderful vendor/venue sticky and it's great, but sometimes brides need more than just "go look at the sticky."

I tend to agree too... and that's what this forum is for... coming on and asking for advice and recommendations.  The vendor sticky is great, but I know about more venues than just what I am using, so I can generally give more advice than "see vendor sticky."

I think sometimes the questions end up being a lazy person's way out of a phone call or an email.  If you have a specific question about a vendor, then PM that person or find that person on the board.  Also, we are now talking about 2011 weddings and prices are already going up or will go up soon.  Make the phone call for yourself instead of just "Has anyone used....".  If you read the sticky, then you know that probably no one used that vendor.

Ok... someone get out the fire extinguisher.

    a.   Seriously, your too selfish to tell people that you know who are getting married about the Knot?

    b.  Other peoples lives don't revolve around your wedding.   If someone wants to get married the weekend before you (or even in the same month as you), then that's their business. Get over it!

    c.  Don't show up just on FFF to flame people if your not here all week being productive and helpful to brides....and further, don't flame us because we are doing FFF "wrong" in your opinion.  You don't even post here anymore except on Fridays...

I agree with the sometimes.  However, if you are just asking "what photographer would you recommend" then I think they do need to look at the sticky.  They can see what photographers we are using and do their research.  Now, if they are deciding between a few photographers and have specific questions, then yes, ask us.  But, don't just come to the boards and expect us to do all the work for you.

Weddings don't need a theme.  If you have one that naturally flows out of your relationship with your FI, great.  But if not, the theme is "we're getting married."

<div>I don't think their lazy. I think the majority are new users who have just gotten engaged and are excited about the planning process. They don't know anything about PM's or stickies or even how the board in general runs. They have questions, which is completely normal, and they have a source to ask them in. Sure, they could make phone calls or google, but there is a community of people on here who are all going through the same process and I think they are entitled to ask questions. Sure, sometimes some users take advantage of the board and use it as their own personal wedding google but those seem to be few and far between. </div><div>
</div><div>I for one like helping people out, as I was new to the board just a few months ago. I know how overwhelming the wedding planning process is in the beginning and I appreciated all of the help I got on here when I first started. Did I ask stupid questions or obvious questions, probably so. But I learned as all new people do. </div><div>
</div><div>Sorry for the long rant(?) I just feel that the new people (fro the most part) are not looking for us to be their wedding planners but just looking for a little help! </div><div>

The fair is a bit overrated and I didn't care for Fletchers Corn Dogs.  I also missed out on the fried Snickers because I could not find the booth again :(

How many times must we acknowldge you before you consider it acknowledging you?  For someone that is a potential buyer, you might want to be a little nicer to us.  Thanks to your attitude we walked away and you lost a sale.

Speaking of the election, I'll be happy when it's over so there are no more ads.  I'm thinking about changing my voting criteria to voting for someone who only promotes themselves and doesn't drag the others in the mud.

We are not doing anything for my boss.

Ok, maybe I should flame myself.  Because I have always said I wanted a classic, elegant theme.

But as far as incorporating your FI's love of fly fishing and your love of old movies into "Camoflauge meets Old Hollywood," that's a little over the top.

Oh, and ITA with Brooke.  And I think "go look at the sticky" discourages conversation and camadarie which is what I have always enjoyed about this board.

    Theme=prom.

When I came here, I read for a while before I ever posted as is what most do.  If I had just come on here, I think I'm smart enough to read the stickies.  Isn't there even one that says "Read this first"?  I do think it's laziness if you come here before making a phone call or emailing that vendor.  Once again, what most of us are going to have is semi-old information.  Maybe they've changed their policy.  Maybe they don't put their cost information online because they are THAT willing to work for you and with you.  Ask me for my opinion on a vendor, and, if I've used them or remember one of you using them, I'll let you know.  To me that is a better phrasing of the question.

Also, don't come on here griping about a vendor not responding to your one phone call or one email.  Call again, email again.  If you emailed before, call this time and vice versa.

I haven't been on here long, but reading posts like that is annoying.  What kind of response do they really think they're going to get?  Unless you're "just venting" then don't ask what you should do when a vendor doesn't return your email in 24 hours.  You're not their only client.  Pick up the phone and CALL!!
