Reception departure?!

Since fireworks are illegal in the city limits (I don't want to be arrested on the night of the wedding), I need some fun and bright ideas for leaving a down-town night reception in Colorado Springs.  Any help??

How about sparklers?  I don't think they are illegal, plus they're cheap and safe.  I had friends get married on Fourth of July last year (this was in Ohio, mind you) and they used sparklers for their exit.  Looked really nice.

Sparklers are illegal in Colorado Springs.  Sorry, I don't have any ideas other than applause.

Here are some ideas i came across:

    Bubbles
Candles (you can even get the battier powered ones)
    confetti or confettie poppers
    Bells
    Kazzos
    Glow sticks

Just for the record, sparklers scare me for send offs. I used to work at an event venue and all those drunk people waving sparklers around with the bride and groom in the middle is not an easy thing to watch. Glow sticks would still give you that light effect without the fire hazard. You could also attach ribbon to sticks and have your guests wave them around as you exit.
