Hey guys!
So my sister went to a wedding about a week ago and she said that the bride and groom had set up a basket that had disposable flats/slippers for the ladies at the reception if they wanted to take their shoes off and wear those instead of going barefoot!
I thought this was a FANTASTIC idea and I have been trying to find places to buy cheap disposable flats for my wedding but I cannot find them anywhere. I know this is starting to be a big thing and I was wondering if anyone has ordered their own set and where they got them?!
Please please please help!
Re: Flats/slippers for guests
[QUOTE]Can you do flip flops and get them at old navy?

I was thinking more flats in case people had stockings on. :-) but thank you for the idea!
[QUOTE]I don't really understand this trend. Your guests are adults, they should know how to dress themselves for a wedding so that they are comfortable and appropriate at the same time. I've actually never seen it done and it seems very frivolous to me when I hear about it on TK. That said, Dr Scholls makes "Fast Flats" but they're pretty expensive at $10-12 a pair.

I realize they are adults. I think it is a cute idea is all. And yes the fast flats are a bit too expensive.
I also don't get the whole flip flop/barefoot thing at weddings. Guests are attending a reception, not hiking in them. I also would imagine it's not the first time they've worn heels. If they can't navigate them for dinner and some dancing, they should wear flats!
And I have never understood how people dance in flipflops.
But if you want cheap flats, I know payless has some cheap ones on clearance sometimes. And you can do the BOGO 1/2 off deal even with clearance. I know I've found little flats there for like $5 before.
Target too.

I agree with the old navy idea, I have seen them on sale for $3 a pair also walmart has cheap flips and flats around the $2-3 range.
good luck!
we also have a chain of places here in canada called "dollarama" I have seen flippy flops there as well for $1 you dont need super high quality stuff, just good enough to get through the night.
good luck in your hunt
The folks on here are just trying to help you save time and money for other things!
[QUOTE]i've seen alot of weddings where they've done the slipper socks. the socks that sort of look like ballet shoes and have the non slip bottom on them so there are no dance floor injuries! plus with socks and flip flops i dont think anyone wears there actual size they way they do with heels! Its done all the time at the reception halls i've worked out. I've seen alot of brides that put them in the bathroom, that is right by the reception room. I also them put on a candy buffet with a sign "a treat for your feet"

<div>Yeah, we wanted something almost "disposable" like the slipper socks! </div>
[QUOTE]It seems like a cute idea but how do you know what sizes to get? Do you ask all the ladies what size shoes they wear? I usually have a spare pair of shoes in my car that'll go with my dress just in case. Or I just take them off (depending on where the party is).

<div>We were leaning more towards like the "foldable flats in a bag" kind of thing. Getting a bunch of different sizes and putting them out, we wouldn't get enough for EVERY lady at the wedding because I know not everyone will use them.</div><div>

As for sizing, I would get 6, 7, 8, and 9 with more 7 and 8's than 6 and 9's and maybe a few 10's. If you have 80 women going, I'd probably get 60-70 pairs.
