So far I'm noticing a different texture. It isn't quite as smooth. It also doesn't have the sugary taste that I'm used to. It's not bad, and I think when I get used to it it will be good, but right now it's just different.
I'm in and out. Trying to finish up some work before I leave.
I got a text earlier from a number I didn't recognize, so I deleted it without reading it, but the first part said, "do you own." Now I have an irrational fear that the text said something like, "do you own a persian cat?" and that the cleaning people let one of the cats out. I really want to run home and check on the cats, but I'm going to the gym instead. Grr. I did find the number and send a text. It was probably just a marketing thing and now I look like a crazy person.
Hey, I've never watched Big Brother and I like Yoplait Whips. Just waiting for FI to finish monkeying around and then we are watching Cloe. I'm just excited to eat popcorn.
The people are here to install the solar panels, so I am listening to them tear up my roof. We made an executive decision that the kitchen needed to be stripped down to studs, so the drywaller should be here soon to quote the job. I am making a grocery list for the week. I always thought shopping each day was a pain, but nope, shopping for the week is. How do I know what we'll feel like eating next Tuesday?

I need to be putting dinner away but the cat is sleeping on my lap and I always feel guilty moving him. So, here I am.
H is playing video games and he's so cute to watch. He just got 5 new (used) games and has them all lined up on the floor like a little kid. He plays one for 10 minutes or so then has to check out the next one.

Before I was a vegetarian I ate the yoplait whips. Lots of sugar, but damn, were they tasty.
AMrs, I just plan about 5-6 meals that look good and then decide the day-of, depending on how much time I have vs. how long they take to make and what I feel like.
I bet it was just marketing. If I had found someone's cat that would definitely be a phone call and not a text.
Oooh solar panels My dad is considering putting solar panels or a sun roof in his garage when the guys are up there repairing the storm damage.
Seshat, Demon keeps doing that too. I think she knows when I'm thinking "Ok time to do something" I also just put sticky tape on one of our couches so she's going to be pissed at me soon.
Mery, I used to do it that way too, then I got used to shopping daily (teeny fridge in France), plus cooking for two I never know how many leftovers to count on.
Ah the single days when a recipe fed four and I actually got four servings out of it...

katie, we didn't really have an option on the solarr down here. They instituted some sort of "green initative" and you house has to have 20 "points" of greeness in order to sell it. Plus electricity is $.21 a KWH (compared to the $.10 I used to pay) AND the electric company buys back any extra that you produce, so yeah...

Oh no, she won't like that! I had to put a blanket over the spot where Whisky always sleeps because he sheds so much. It's definitely his spot. But now he's for the front half on my legs, and butt half hanging off the couch, so he's bound to fall sooner or later.
Yeah, I wouldn't care if it was fully our couch, but it's a hand-me down from my sil and it's perfect for stretching out her claws (and thus pulling a lot of the threads out). Her giant cat tree is right next to it so she won't have to go far.
She is not a fan of the new leather furniture. She is still getting used to the squishiness and keeps sliding off when she lays down.
Katie, I'm not sure. I'm still trying to find the actual official list and the point scale. When I find it I'll let you know. I do knw that you should have a 12m sq "outdoor living area". They somehow base calculations on you living outdoors for two hours a day and thus not using the A/C. Riiiight, like I'm turning off the A/C when it's hot here (think months of the past DC summer). Yesterday I couldn't paint beuase it was too humid for the tape to stick to the wall!
Loopy, the teeny fridge really wasn't all that bad, plus it cut WAY down on waste. Nothing ever got lost in the back of it. ;-)

That's an interesting theory...I have a huge deck but you had better believe I'm not sitting on it if it's 100 degrees outside and I'm running the AC inside.
Aw my poor doggie. She heard a car with a similar exhaust as Scott's pull up in the neighbor's yard and now she's pacing around the house trying to figure out where he is. I wish she understood English. How do you say "Dad has to work late" in Catahoula?
Oh Katie, they are so into the "outdoor" thing here. The windows have to be a certain size based on the sq ft of the room to allow for X amount of natural air flow, etc. Yet they rarely have screens on the windows. H just finished screening all our screenable windows. Yes it cost $$, but still cheaper than paying for alternative accomodations for me.
The tenants complained that the spa tub didn't work, yet they never complained about the geckos crawling (and shiiiting) all over the walls!

Amen! Our bottom floor windows don't have screens in them so we'll have to buy some once the weather stops being deathly hot. Demon would have no problems hopping her little butt out an open window and going exploring. She's also been known to cut holes in screens so she can get onto balconies she isn't supposed to be on.

How do they determine the point system? I'm curious where my house would fall on their standards.
