How do you know about Eagle Castle Winery? Have you ever been there? I thought you lived in Montana for some reason....I know you're on the Central Coast board....

    I grew up on the Central Coast.  I moved to Montana for a job last August.  Pretty sure I will be here forever, but I love CenCal, it's where my heart is.  And pretty sure that's where BF and I will get married.

    That's pretty cool.  When I went home for Christmas, I went tasting and Eagle Castle was one of the places we stopped.  My lil bro had PRHS prom there last year and I had heard about it, but that was my first visit.  There was a wedding being set up that day.  The ladies in the tasting room were really nice and allowed us to tour around and look anywhere we wanted. 

    I would love to get married there and walk down that staircase, though I am not sure it's our style, or if we can afford it.  Why didn't you get married there?

    I didn't get married there because it wasn't my style. My parents die a little inside each time I say it. But a moat?! C'mon! The staircase is beautiful. But literally everything else was NMS. I wanted the suits of armor in the lobby to go in the library away from the guests but everyone on board got offended..."Those are real. They came from England!" I said, "well then I'm going to have to bring topiaries in to cover them up." I didn't like the fake unicorn tapestries in the ballroom and if you're using either of the terraces, there's a TON of wind! I also wanted something to cover the big shield on the front of the building. Even with my discount, I didn't want to get married there. I did hear that the cook is really good now though.

    Lol, that's funny. I didn't go in the ballroom, there was a luncheon or something going on. But I know what you mean about NMS.  My BF and I are pretty country.  I REALLY love Swallow Creek Ranch, though last I checked they are not doing weddings right now.  Maybe when we start really planning they will be. 

    I would like to have it somewhere I can bring in my own caterer and alcohol.  I am a Fresno State grad and want to have a few bottles of their wine, as well as other wineries I like.
