Pat O's on the River or The Conti Wax Museum?

Daughter just got back from NOLA and has decided on a ceremony in Jackson Square followed by a 2nd line to the reception.  She is trying to decide on either Pat O's or the wax museum.  She doesn't mind the low ceilings or layout of Pat O's - she loves the view and the bar is amazing.  She just wasn't as pepped about the menu.  The wax museum is beautiful and she can hire her own caterer.  Anyone been to weddings at both?

    Had my wedding reception at the wax museum and loved it! Beth is great to work with and the space is neat. We used Pigeon catering.

    Haven't been to a wedding at Pat Os, so I can't compare, but they are both good choices. We met up with everyone the night before the wedding at Pat O'Briens (not the one on the river).

    I am having my reception at Pat O's not thrilled with the menu either, but it was utimatly the cost that made the decesion.  Huge difference between Pat O's and the Wax Museum. I am having 200 people so it is a $8,000 difference.

    Wow, that is a big difference.  My daughter is still waiting on quotes from caterers but I think she is leaning towards Pat O's, too.  I figure after a couple of hurricanes, most people won't care about the menu!  I think it will be a lot of fun.

    We had our wedding at Pat O's.  i wasn't super excited about the food before the weddnig but got great reviews...plus the all top shelf bar was a HUGE plus.  They were great to work with and we had no issues with our reception.

    $8000 difference?? I am trying to make the exact same decision , but based on 175 guests...

    No way... Pat O's...about $77/head for menu 1 and premium bar and Wax about $82/head for menu A and premium bar...

    Remember to add tax and gratutity to pat Os  numbers....

    Should only be a difference of $1000 ....
