That's really cool, I write music, or at least I used to, and music that is based on real, raw emotion is so much more timeless than the crap soley generated to make money, that we have filling our airways these days.

Most of my and DH's friends are musicians, as well, and they like to turn classic rock songs into folksy tunes. It sounds kind of lame, but DH's best friend plays a version of "All Along the Watchtower" that would blow your mind.

By the way, I realized I didn't say hello for the evening. I won't be here long, but I wanted to seek E's excellent wording advice for something that is obviously NWR.

I'm working on Nathan's baby-book, and there's a blank about how we chose the name. His name is going to be Nathan Walker ______ for a few reasons. I've already covered the part about his 1st name. It's his middle name that has the back story.

1. I like the name Walker

2. Every male in H's family that shares our last name has a "W" middle name. Nathan will be the 5th generation of this tradition

3. Walker was H's great-grandmother's maiden name. Once I discovered this, Walker became the definite choice because I like having a family name as the middle name.

How can I put that in just a sentence or two? I've thought of a couple of different ways but I have trouble wording it at all, so I'm asking you!

Aww, Mica! Yay for kittehs! I kind of want one, but know that Oxford would consider the litter box as his own personal lunch box, and I'm not entirely convinced that he or Maci wouldn't love a kitten a little too hard.

Cable companies piss me off. $130+ for cable a month is joke city. I'm ready to cut it off since H plays video games a lot and just watches his parents HBO thru the comp online. 4 of 7 nights a week our cable is not used. ugh

Berkeley is sitting next to the dog door and whimpering because she wants to play. I've been sitting with her, but she's just antsy about the new kittens. When the boy cat jumped to be with me (he's attached to me, I guess), she sniffed him and tried to lick him, and he was totally calm about it (his foster family had 5 large dogs, so he's not scared).

Here they are on the car ride home

They like cuddling with H already

The boy cat is very active

But girl kitty is a snuggle bug

I rarely watch things when they're actually on TV... I generally watch them later on the internet, so if we lost some of our channels, I probably wouldn't even notice. FI and I watch a lot of USA shows when they're on though, so that one we'd notice.

Poor Berkeley. I bought her a new toy today so that she feels special. Also, even though I really want to play with the kittens, I'm hanging out with Berkeley so that she doesn't feel neglected.

So far, H hasn't complained. (He's also allergic to dogs and was starting to get a sore throat from Berkeley.) The boy cat drooled on me, and those areas of skin itch a bit, but my throat hasn't started itching.

I'm a allergic to dogs, but Fox doesn't bother me too bad unless he licks my face or lays on my neck. Other dogs make my allergies terrible. I think I'm just used to Fox.
