Undergarments for dress shopping

What do I wear when I go out to try on dresses? I know those sales ladies can be all over you, and I'd rather not share my assets with the entire salon!! Suggestions? Thanks!

Normal undergarments, no thongs etc. I think the salespeople would greatly appreciate it. They'll most likely put you in a bra but just in case, you might wear a strapless or take one with you.

Anyway, I'd suggest what future-mrs did: modest undies and a strapless bra. Light colored undies are best, so they won't show through the gowns and be distracting. Enjoy shopping!

I wore spanx and a strapless bra. The spanx made me feel less self conscious and when the gowns weren't my size it gave them something to clip the dress to.

Thanks..thats a good idea about the spanx. I think you can get a strapless bra/spanx all in one thingy....

I'm not terribly excited about the actual shopping. This is my second wedding, and I want to look fabulous, but I'm not into finding "The One"....I already found him! lol
I just hope I find something reasonably priced and elegant.

I wore boy short undewear and a strpaless. i hate when they go in the room w/ u as if you are going to steal the dress. it is uncomfiratbale & uncalled for.

I just had regular bikini style undies on, and a strapless bra. It was definitely weird at first with the woman in there putting the dresses on for me, but just remember they do this all day everyday, and they are bound to have seen many people in worse things than you and with worse bodies! Haha it makes you feel a little better!

I wore a strapless bra and made sure my undies were not an outrageous color just in case for some odd reason it would show through the dress. All my undies are bikini style so I wouldnt have worn a thong anyways. I wore like an ivory color pair of undies and a tan strapless bra. It worked out

I actually wore green undies. I figure if THEY didn't show, then I had absolutely nothing to worry about.
