Ugh I can't decide!!

My FH and I are big Journey fans. Our first dance song is Faithfully by Journey. I just found Vitamin String Quartet's version of Open Arms, and its beautiful. I thought about using it for my bridesmaids, but the song I had picked out for them I also LOVE. I picked out Hallelujah by Justin TImberlake (if you haven't heard it yet, you HAVE TO. It's just amazing!!) But then again, I LOVE the wedding march, and have always just assumed I'd walk to it, but I know now a days, not many brides do?

2. Bridesmaids: Hallelujah, Me: VSQ's Open Arms

I'm pretty sure i will walk to somewhere over the rainbow & we will leave to bad fish(our song) by sublime.
    Nothing traditional here!

By "Justin Timberlake's Hallelujah" do you mean his cover of the Leonard Cohen song?

I simply adore that song.  Love it.  Thihnk it's amazing.  Can listen to it over and over and over and over.

I say that so you'll understand when I tell you to check out the lyrics.  IMO, it's not at all a good or appropriate choice for a wedding.  The lyrics just don't speak to a wedding ceremony at all.

Please take a minute, if you haven't look at the lyrics to check them out.  You might change your mind.

And again:  it's not about the quality of the song.  Did I mention that I love it?  =)

And BTW:  I'm a church organist.  And although everyone claims to hate the traditional wedding march, I'd say that in 4 out of 5 weddings I play. the bride chooses to enter to, you guessed it, the Wedding March from Lohengrin.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146

Wow, I just listened to "Hallelujah," and you're definitely right about those lyrics.  I would leave it out completely.
December 18, 2010!!! Never thought I would be a winter bride; just hoping we don't get snowed in until AFTER the wedding!
