  I am 28 but my FI is going to be 35 when we get married in September of this year. We still want to wait 6 months to a year. We have some big vacations planned... basically, we want to enjoy married life together first. I can't wait to become a mother but I do enjoy my freedom now.

  @goaliegirl- the main reason I posted on the thread in to tell you that I think Austin Jack in the cuest name!!  Good luck!  You must be so excited!!
  
  But to contribute to the thread...I'm 27 (will be turning 28 less than 2 months after the wedding) and FI is 30 but will be closer to 31 at the time of the wedding.  I told him he's not allowed to bring up the subject of kids until I'm 30.  He's much more gung ho about it than I am at this point.  I'm very content being a godmother and (almost) aunt to his neice for a while.  I want to travel and be more established in my career before we consider having children.

  I'll be 30, FI is 32 when we get married.  We have a few upcoming big events after the wedding, so we probably won't start trying until around March-April of next year.  Right when my BCP perscription runs out lol

  I've never had one bit of a desire to have kids or be a mom.. maybe I'm weird?? Everybody thinks I'm crazy and I will change my mind.. but I'm almost 33 and I've felt the same way for 33 years.. (or as long as I can remember).. I'm not going to be changing my mind. Luckily, FI doesn't want kids either, so I'm good there....(I have a great mom, and a great childhood so that's not the issue, lol)
  
  and while people will tell you, "ohh you can still go on vacation, etc with your kids".. I don't want to. The thought of bringing a baby or kids on vacation with me, or anywhere, sounds like torture and not my idea of fun. lol... ALL of our friends have kids, except for 1 couple (who will probably start trying now). So we've seen PLENTY of examples of how their lives changed... and while they say it is rewarding being a parent, etc.. its just not the lifestyle we want for ourselves.... if i'm crazy or being selfish, so be it! I'm just glad FI agrees with me on it :)
