Day of Wedding Timeline Question...

Hey all you married women, I was wondering how you came up with your timeline? Did it work? What did you wish you allowed more time for? What didn't need that much time? Do you have a sample of what your timeline looked like to share?

I'm at my 8 weeks mark and I'm thinking I should have an idea of what I want my timeline to look like. Any and all suggestions/advice are welcome! Thanks!

11:30 AM – Check out of hotel & head to venue

5:35 PM – Caterer excuses tables to buffet
    6:15 PM - Toasts
    6:45 PM – Cake cutting
6:50 PM – First Dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance (while caterer cuts cake for servings, sets up ice cream sundae bar & fruit display)
    7:10 PM – Open dancing
    8:00 PM – bouquet & garter toss
9:00 PM – Begin loading alcohol and gifts into Becca’s car
    9:30 PM – Last call
    10:00 PM – Music off, begin clean-up

**Note: we had 1 lady doing hair & makeup for all 4 of us girls which is why so long for that to be done.

I wish I had built in an hour of buffer time instead of 30 mins.  I also wished I had someone to keep track of the time for me (missed the cocktail hour!!) and wish we had done the bouquet toss, garter toss, etc right after the dances vs. waiting an hour.

    A couple things:
    - All of our locations were pretty close, but I planned extra time and it worked out ok - think of how long it would take you to get somewhere (if you're going between places in the city) and just double it.

    - Hair and make-up times were only for me (the girls came to hang out and did each other's)

    - Overall, It looks like a lot of time, but it really wasn't, we were still late leaving my parents house to get to UW, but because I'd planned all that extra time we weren't really rushed at all and got lots of pictures.

    - I have no idea whether we were on schedule for the reception, but we had great people (DJ and reception location people) keeping things moving.
