Favors

I was wondering what are you guys doing for favors?

I don't want to spend a lot of money on cheesy and pointless favors my guests won't even care about and never use or see again. My only idea that seemed reasonable was a candy 'buffet' bar set up.

Appreciate any ideas.

We're having a photo booth.  Guests will keep one copy of the strip for their favor and the other will go into a "Guest Book" for us.

We are doing the same thing as mob112710. Both my FI and I love the idea of a photo both guest book and thought it would be a fun favor. Also, we are having around 350 guests so it is going to be cheaper then most other favor ideas we had.
    Happy planning!

We're donating money to the Heifer Fund, and maybe the local humane society or ASPCA.

We are donating to a local Boxer rescue where dogs are rescued, adopted, etc. We have a Boxer (which everyone knows is super important to us), so it seemed fitting instead of doing pointless favors that people forget or throw out when they get home.

    Good idea on the photobooth!

We are doing lottery tickets for each person and I had a friend design a "holder" that has the damask theme and says...We Hope You Are as Luck as We Are!  Simple and only $1/person

I was thinking of the lottery ticket idea, I saw some holders online. We are incorporating a little bit of Vegas/casino theme in our reception because that where we got engaged. So the lottery tickets could work and relatively inexpensive.

I love the photobooth idea, I should look into the prices for those.

    Thanks for the ideas.

We're going to do a photobooth or chocolate covered pretzel rods.  I want the photobooth, but I don't know if there is enough room at our venue for the oversized booth I want.

Chocolate covered espresso beans from Alterra Coffee. We had our first date there :). And it's something local and special!

We ordered shot glasses from discountmugs.com -- they say "I went to John and Chistines wedding and all I got was this lousy shot glass" We have themed our wedding around travel. They came out to be $1 a glass, so it was pretty reasonable.

Then I am going to have hersey kisses sprinkled around the table.

Ditto to donating.  I plan to donate to the American Cancer Society as my mother recently passed away from cancer.  Instead of wasting money on pointless "favors" your guests just throw away or leave at the reception, I thought it was a better way to spend the money.  Also it honors my mom.

I am ordering salt water taffy from taffywholesale.com in my four colors. Im ordering enough for each person to have two pieces. For 12 pounds (720 pieces of candy) it's about $72. This allows me to order 3 flavors in each of my colors. Hope you find what you're looking for.
