Intercontinental O'hare filed Chapter 11

I just wanted to let everyone know that Intercontinental O'hare filed Chapter 11, just in case you were considering them as your wedding venue.  Be aware. They will NOT disclose that to you.

Chapter 11 I believe is a reorganization BK, not a going out of business, but it is still worthy to know. Thanks.

My good friend's wedding is there and they keep telling her not to worry about it. It is a brand new hotel so I can't imagine them totally closing. Does anyone know any other info about what will happen there?

When is your friend's wedding?  Ours is there too and we're trying to get out without losing too much money.  We've asked legal advice who told us not to give them anymore money unless put in an escrow account.

It is June 19th, I as far as I know though, i think they are just keeping it there? I have no idea. I can ask her. I think they were going to talk to an attorney as well.

If your friend wants to get in touch with me, my email is geniousc@hotmail.com.  Our wedding is Aug 21, 2010 at the ICO.  I want to find other brides who are booked there and get their thoughts and what the ICO has been telling everyone.

it might be useful to get in touch with a wedding planner. i am sure people like that have experience on how to deal with this kind of thing for their own clients. it might be worth paying them a small fee for their time for advice though i am not exactly sure.
