Bridesmaids Dress Color

So originally I was planning on having pewter or dark grey BM dresses. Well I found Wtoo dress that is a perfect complement to my Wtoo dress. Very similar fabric and everything. Well the problem is that they grey is a heather grey. My FMIL likes the dress in eggplant and I never even considered this color. Now I can't decide. I really like this dress but I don't absolutly love the color. Am I making too big of a deal out of it? Do I just go with the dress I love but not the color or do I start over? I haven't really picked wedding colors yet but I wanted to stay in the vintage feeling. HELP

    Can you post some pics?  Also, are your colors purple and grey?  If so, I'd go with the purple (eggplant) if you don't like the heather gray color.  However, I'm not sure what to suggest because I don't know the background of your situation.

    It really depends what is important to you.  I fell in love with a certain bridesmaid dress, but it didnt come in burgundy like I wanted.  So we kept searching until we found a somewhat similar dress (but not exact at all), that came in the burgundy color I wanted.  So if you don't like the grey OR the eggplant that the dress comes in, I'd keep looking!  We went to probably 4 stores, tried on at least 30 dresses, but are happy with what we decided on!

    Well I wantd a vintage feel with grey, light pinks and blush colors. Purple was not in the equation at all. 

    I attached a pic of my Dress and my possible BM dress in the exact color.

    What are the thoughts out there Knotties?

    Very pretty dresses. I guess you have to decide what's more important to you. The color of the dress or the dress itself. It sounds to me that if purple wasn't in the equation and you want grey then you will probably be able to find a very similar dress in the color you like.

    I agree with PP. I thought that maybe purple was one of your colors, but since it's not I wouldn't get that dress in a random color that doesnt match anything else. I bet you can find another dress that you love that comes in dark gray.

    Thank you so much, BTW your dress is georgous! Since now I am considering this other color I am wondering if the grey would be boring. It is just so hard to make this decision and everyone else likes the dress and the color.

    did you look at the other colors the dress comes in? maybe a blush or a peach or a sage?

    Yes they have such strange colors for this bobbinet material. Nothing really hits me there was one possibility Latte is the color it has a little grey tone but it is too much in the brown family for my taste..... who would have known I would find a great dress and it only comes in undesirable colors :)

    your dress is pretty and imo the purple color is very pretty but if it's not one of the colors you want, keep looking! there are tons of dresses out there you will find one that comes in a color you like!

    I dont think grey is boring at all if you do it right... chose your complimenting colors well and i think it will turn out great! IMO, go with what you like the most... there are 1,000 of dresses- you can find one you like in the color u want.

    BTW, I am doing gray bridesmaid dresses with purple flowers. I thnk gray is great once you have that pop of color. Just stick with your vision! You have to love it:-)

    I'm not sure what colors the dress comes in, but for my colors I am doing a blush pink and steel blue. Like a VERY gray-blue. I am having a vintage wedding too, and these colors go GREAT together. Try looking at Bill Levkoff. He has a steel blue color called Pewter and a Gray-purple color called Victorian Lilac.
