Wedding Invitations & Paper

2 ceremonies - Need help!

I am having 2 ceremonies and 2 receptions (1 is really just a dinner). This is causing me difficulties when trying to figure out how I will do invitations. I like a lot of the online options but there is only enough room for information on the invitation for 1 ceremony. My only solution so far has been to use vistaprint and be able to arrange the text boxes on my own. This seems to be a cheaper and good option but I am not sure that I will be pleased with the quality. I have ordered a wedding sample kit from them but have not received it yet.

Any other suggestions? We are having 250 guests and will be sending out about 150 invitations.

  • I need more info.  Why two ceremonies?  Are they in different locations?  On the same or different days?  Is it 2 different religious ceremonies?

  • 1 Hindu wedding and 1 Christian wedding. Same town, different locations. Two different days, 1 on Friday and 1 on Saturday. Small dinner reception Fri night and big reception Sat night.

Very complicated unfortunately. :) Thanks for your help in advance!

[QUOTE]Have you checked the South Asian/Asian Weddings board?  It's on the left, under Cultural Wedding Boards.  I know there are some brides over there that have had multiple ceremonies and similar situations. I think, in this situation, I'd do a pocketfold type invitation, with inserts for each ceremony and reception and a very comprehensive RSVP card.

That's what I was thinking too.  The main invite would be for the whole weekend, and then an insert for each day.  OR a large size invite where you can basically have two invites side-by-side, one for each day.  This would work well esp if your family is hosting one and his family is hosting the other.

  • You might also google for bi-lingual wedding invitations.  Instead of doing the other language, you could just substitute for the other day.

  • Thank you all for your help! I will definitely look into these options. Yeah, everyone is invited to both ceremonies. :) Thanks again! I am open to more suggestions as always!
