Need idea for DIY STD

If any of you ladies have made your own STD, would you share a pic?

I made half of my STDs! I used Vistaprint to make post cards that hold the magnets that I had made by I DO Originals. Pictures are in my BIO under DIY or Paper...I forget :)

I have pics in my bio as well!  They were kind of DIY; my fiance and I made our "Save the Date" sign and had friends take our picture holding it.  I did a few quick edits in the windows picture viewer program (nothing fancy) and then used Vista Print.  We chose a pre-designed template, dropped our picture in, and then used a code to get 100 free with envelopes.  We actually needed more than 100 so we bought those but it was extremely cost effective and easy!

I took the picture and made the sign in the pic in my STD and designed them at Vistaprint-- 100 postcards free, and I paid like $4 for envelopes plus shipping. I've gotten a lot of compliments! Hopefully I can copy the proof here:

I took a lot of pics of stuff that was special to us, and then photoshopped it together to form a collage.  I had them printed & sent via amazingmail.com (<$1 each including they will adress & mail them, so you don't even have to pay extra for postage).

On our wedding page for our guests I also put a picture of our STD with a key explaining what each item was and why it was special to us.

More details in my Bio under DIY

Yay! Finally able to update my signature :)

We had a pdf customized for us on etsy and printed at kinkos. Many etsy dealers sell pdfs you can print on vistaprint or kinkos. I do not recommend Officemax... they gave me the worst information on a DIY print and I spoke to multiple people there. We printed on high-quality paper and had them cut for us and paid for 150 save-the-dates. When all was asaid and done we spent $225 for 150. A picture of the generic is here. GOOD LUCK :)

We only just finished our save the dates, and we haven't gotten them back from Vistaprint yet, but I am really excited about them! They are postcards where the front looks like 3 of those black and white photostrips (we didn't take them in a machine, we actually used a curtain as a backdrop and then changed the pictures to black and white in Photoshop.) We found the photostrip borders online, and then sized and inserted our photos into them. We are holding a sign with one word on it in each photo so that the first strip going down says "We're getting married !" (the exclamation point got its own sign!), the second "September 25, Cambridge Massachusetts 2010" and the last "Save the Date !". On the back we just put the standard message and our website. Hopefully this picture kind of gives you the idea!

laura030 your STD is adorable! I might steal the idea ;)

    I also like this idea...

Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to do either.

    Got it from http://blog.lemonlimephoto.com/2009/08/17/more-from-jessica-tad/
