How was your weekend?

I had friends over Friday and Saturday since I can't really go anywhere.  
My nestie friend came over Saturday with their twins and Taco Bell, it's was FI's first time with Taco Bell and he said it will be his last.  His tummy was not happy.  HA.

    Good morning!

    My weekend was ok.  H and I got a few things done (finally changed my license to PA), but still managed to relax a bit.  I ran 2 miles at the gym yesterday (pretty good for only being back 2 weeks!) and was very happy.... until my shins felt tight last night.  Flat feet + treadmills = shin splints.  Guess I'll be using the elliptical today.

    Do you have inserts for your shoes?  I have fallen arches and I got to the foot dr every few weeks for the past few months.  They gave me orthotics and I feel much better.  I also have to be careful when buying shoes, it sucks I have to say.

    I also have really bad ankles which just makes it worse.  I do have inserts which helps at least a little.  I think I'll be ok, I just have to take it slow and make sure my body is used to it, otherwise my shins/calves get strained.

    Unfortunately this is nothing new, I used to get taped on occasion all the way up my shin when I was playing basketball in HS.  I already took naproxen last night to control the inflammation and will probably ice after the gym tonight.

    Morning!

    ugh MH- shin splints are not fun. I deal with them also sometimes with running if I get a crappy treadmill at the gym that has no 'give' to it. :-P

    It was 'snowing' a tad on my drive to the train this morning-- looked like someone dumping buckets of giant pieces of salt on my car...

    Good Morning. Saturday I went into the city to Christmas Village, then Percey Street, which had great smoked BBQ. Mac and Cheese = amazing! Yesterday I baked cookies for Thursday and they are yummy. I also FINALLY finished the last edits to the wedding album and they finally saved (yay). I must have spent a good 24 hours on that darn thing. Once it is ordered, it will be the best day because it will mean officially DONE.
    Looking forward to Christmas now!

    this weekend i accomplished decorating the house and getting the tree.  tonight we are going to decorate it (pottery barn style :)

    and someone got their picture with santa....

    Morning. This weekend went by too quickly. FI and I took my youngest sister to see Tangled, and honestly I want to see it again. I'll definitely be buying that when it comes out on DVD.  Sunday was relaxing, but again just flew by. Hopefully this week does the same, b/c then I'm free for 2 weeks!

    Morning ladies.

    On Friday I came home to a hungover husband, and we stayed in all night.  We decided to watch Fred Clause on TV, and I ended up passing out on the couch around 10.  Woo.  Party people up in here.

    Saturday morning we picked out our tree!  Ladies, we have the most perfect tree-  shape, size, density.  You should probably be jealous ;)  I went to B2B's candle party, and then the hubs and I went out to dinner at Plaza Azteca.  We finally ordered the fresh guacamole.  Holy mother, it was good.  We went over to my friends house to watch Christmas movies and decorate ornaments, and I passed out on their couch around 10:30. 

    Sunday we went couch hunting.  We desperately need a new couch because the one we have isn't long enough or wide enough for JEGs to lay down on.  I was ready for the long haul-- I had 2 stores, 3 thrift stores and an outlet to check out, but we fell in love with the IKEA Hovas at the first stop!  Then we came home, decorated the tree and guess who fell asleep during the Eagles game.  ...yeah.

    Anyway, ladies thank you for all the support from yesterday's vent.  One of the things I appriciate about our relationship is that we are such different people.  However, as the eternal optimist, sometimes I get tired of hearing about how crappy he thinks his life is.

    Wow.  This post ended up being excessively long.  My apologies.  I think I'm on a 20 minute time-out from posting now.

    Saturday I finally tried pilates at the gym.  I really liked it, but for some reason my ribs on my right side are really sore.  That night I ended up making a full thanksgiving dinner (minus the pies) and we had friends over. 

    Yesterday I got a lot of Christmas shopping done.  I still need to get my FI a birthday present, since his birthday is on the 27th.  I met B2B for amazing sushi for dinner and ordered my wedding invitations last night.

    Jackie, that pic is adorable! I wish we could get Kayla's picture with Santa, I'm just afraid she might not get along with all of the other doggies in line.

    This weekend was super-busy, but we're packed up and moved out of DH's condo, and he's at settlement right now! We were really lucky because his parents and brother came over to help us move, and we were able to get everything packed into the PODS thing on Saturday. AND I think I've won the battle of it's time for a new couch! We actually had to take part of his couch over the balcony because it wouldn't fit down the stairs.

    I'm only in for a half-day, then we're out again on the house hunt!

    lady- they start taking pics at 11 (at petsmart), we were there at 10:50 no line at all.  im pretty sure we would have had to leave if there was a line of dogs...

    Jackie--THAT IS SO CUTE!!!! 

    I'm still going back and forth if I'm coming to the GTG.  Tuesday is my only day that I can make cookies since I work tonight and Wednesday night.  I'm leaning towards coming even though it's a solid hour for me.  Maybe Gzilla will let me borrow his EZPass...

    Morning all! I had a great weekend. It went by too fast as always.

    Friday - FI and I drove out to a bar in West Chester to watch one of our groomsmen play in his band. They were really awesome!

    Saturday- We went to The Iron Abbey to watch the UFC fight. The fights were fantastic! Did anyone else watch??

    Sunday - We cleaned the crap out of the house and decorated. Now it finally is starting to feel like Christmas :-) Then went to my parents for dinner.

    Morning....  today is my first day with no boss.  Meaning I'm sort of the boss, reluctantly.

    This weekend was really low key for us.  DH was really sick on Friday and just getting his energy back on Saturday.  But then on Saturday I got a really bad headache that lasted til Sunday.  So we basically did nothing all weekend.  Sunday I was a bit more productive around the house.  It was nice to have a weekend to do nothing, we have been running nonstop since before the wedding.

    We got our pro pics!  I am putting together some FB albums to hopefully post tonight for those that are interested.

    H and I went to the Reading Terminal Mkt on Saturday and paid $6 to park for 15mins in the garage.  I was too impatient to drive around looking for parking.

    Parking in the city is a biitch sometimes.  Gzilla and I went to a convention one time, and it cost us $30 to park for 2 hours.

    Where are you guys parking?  I pay $8.50 each day to park in the city.  I thought the $12 lot I parked at two years ago was bad.

    I parked in the garage right across the street from the market.  I knew we would be in and out, so I just sucked up the cost.  To park at Liberty Place, its like $25-30 for a few hours.

    Oh yay, Hil! Glad I'm not the only one that is into it. Everytime I mention UFC to any of my girlfriends, they give me a disgusted look haha ;-)

    good morning! this weekend was tiring. I helped a wedding coordinator set up a wedding on Sat. for 7 hours. On Sunday, we finished up the living room and got furniture in and starting cleaning/organizing the house for our party on Sat. It's finally a home!! :)
