Favorite DJ?

I feel soooo pressured to find a DJ asap for our wedding....

Anybody have a good starting point?  A DJ they liked, or that they know of?  I know nothing!

    We went with After Hours out of Enfiled. Pete was great to meet with!

    Oh and I should add- if Enfield is too far (it was for us). They'll meet you at a place closer to you.

    We used Don Anderson of Tasteful productions out of South Windsor (he'll travel all over the state).  www.tastefuldj.com

    I think you have to decide what it is that you want for entertainment to start. Do you want just the basics? Interactive? etc.

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE our DJ!! He is beyond personable & highly interactice which is what we wanted!!

    We are using Mike Connolly from Mike Connolly Sound Productions.  He did my friend's wedding and we really liked him.  He's been great to work with so far.

    We're using Jason Palermo (DJ Melee). He's gotten a lot of positive reviews from fellow knotties. We met with him last weekend, and he was pretty awesome. He really knows his stuff. It's his own business so he seems more passionate about what he does as opposed to the bigger DJ companies. His rates are incredible, and we feel we are getting FAR more than what we paid him for. As I understand it he is booking up really fast. At our meeting he mentioned about possibly needing to limit the amount of weddings he's going to do for 2011 because of how much popularity he's gaining. He's done some Mohegan events (the 2010 New Years bash for example) and he also has a few bar residencies. Check him out at musicbymelee.com!!
