Yes Lynn we have a minimum.. we need at least 90 people to make it. Half the people that haven't RSVP'd I know are coming... like my sister and one of my BM's but I just don't get what's so hard.
My wedding isn't THAT far away. I mean it's a month and a half away. I'd think people would want to make travel arrangements no?
And it's not like I sent them last week. They've been out over a month.
I just HOPE it's not a sign of people not getting the invite at all.. that would really suck b/c I only have 5 invitations left to send.
Yeah, I'm just cranky today and when I came home to only one envelope I was like WTH??
I know at least 25 people are coming and just haven't sent and I get that this isn't on the top of their lists, and honestly, we have time, I just SOOO don't want to chase people or have to call them.
Fingers crossed that they all start flying in soon...
Sorry Jaime. That sucks that you may have to chase people down!
I always wonder how people can do this, but I just totally missed the RSVP date for my cousins wedding (I sent the RSVP today and it was due on 11/30) so I understand how it can happen. I just got really busy and I kept forgetting. It happens..........
Jaime are you sure your family is not Venezuelan??? I'm pretty sure no oneeeee will be sending me back any rsvp's that's just a fact of life. Sooo I'm going to be calling everyone.
Ugggh my nightmare!!! I did my RSVPs online so I thought they would just pour in. Well, they did at first....16 of them. It's come to a complete halt for about a week and a half (I even submitted one just to make sure it was working!!). This is seriously one of my biggest wedding nightmares, but at least there is facebook -- send out a mass message like 'GET EM IN!!!'! But I know how you feel, my parents, bridesmaids, groomsmen and close family have NOT replied yet (though they still have over a month). But they should have been first, I shouldn't have to worry about getting my mom's meal selection ARGH!
Here I am 2 weeks since my RSVP due date, and they are still coming in slooooooowly. I sent out 100 invites, around 70 are back at this point, and that's with me shooting out emails, having mom make lots of phone calls. To this day, my own BM (the blonde in all my shower/bach pics) has not sent hers in, claims she's still not sure whether her twin and boyfriend can make it.
End of the day, people don't realize you have deadlines, a caterer to give the final count to, a seating chart to create, chair rentals, certain number of programs menus to print, etc. GRRRRRR
And don't even get me started on the Accommodations Reservations. Our group rate was only available until Dec 4th. I called earlier this week, Lo and Behold-- barely anyone's booked yet. I sent out a massive text to all that were coming for sure, and finally people started calling in.
People are stupid. They need you to hold their hand through the process, do what you must to get those RSVPs in, and good luck Jaime!
Re: Seriously?
I'd say to be patient and what Andra said - but from a bride's standpoint ... IT IS NOT DIFFICULT TO RSVP!
Sorry, doll

If it's the people and not the mail holding things up - WTH, it's not that hard to put a little card in a pre-stamped envelope and mail it people!
