Cruise Travel Agent?

Hi Ladies!  I know honeymoon threads are kind of annoying but I was wondering if any of you used a local travel agent to book a cruise?  We've never been on a cruise and we've been suggested to book through an agent rather than booking ourselves but we've never used a TA in the Boston area.  Any recs would be really helpful!

    We went on a cruise for our HM and booked through Costco Travel.

    I always use cruise brothers out of  Rhode island (you dont need to go there and do anything) their web site is www.cruisebrothers.com and we always use Roxanne. Shes great and will help you with anything you need! Shell do whateva she can with the price and if it goes down shell credit you which you wont get if you go directly through the cruise line. Were using her for our October honeymoon and its prob our 5 or 6th using her

    yup the above poster is right, you don't need to meet face to face so you could in theory compare travel agent cruise rates too. getting a TA ensures you are not on just the cheapest flight down there but also that you are not making any close calls with quick layovers potentially missing your cruise departure.

    Sorry- random sometimes-poster-but mostly-lurker here!


    My family has gone on about 4 cruises and we booked another one for our honeymoon.  They have all been booked through Sue Orsini at Liberty Travel in Taunton (at SilverCity Galleria).  She has been great everytime.  We even had two families on the last one so there was about 14 of us and we were fine.  We also had one cruise that was delayed (once we got down to FL due to hurricane), and we had no problems setting up a hotel for that night.


    Also, when you go to meet a travel agent, ask if they or their families have been on cruises and you can get a good feel for their experience.  They will most liley have to set up flights, shuttles and the cruise for you.

    and also it is cheaper to find flight and hotel yourself you can save hundreds looking for a great price i got jetblue for $520 for 2 tixs where the cruise line would be $500 a piece big difference
