The word fiance makes me think of that (my favorite) episode of Seinfeld (clicky) but I guess I have to get used to hearing & saying it because I'm engaged!!!!!!

Sean picked me up from work today & everything seemed completely normal.  We chatted on the way home, parked, walked upstairs.  I put my bag down & he went into the bedroom.  He yelled out that he had something for me.  I walked into the bedroom where he handed me a beautiful bouquet of roses (not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed because I really was hoping I'd walk in & be presented with a ring!) & he told me he remembered that he told me he loved me four years ago today.  What??  No you didn't, that was two weeks from now, in September.  So we went back & forth, me proving he was wrong & in the middle of it he interrupted me & said "well I also have this for you so today will mean something" & he pulled out the ring, got down on his knee & asked me to marry him!!! 

We just got home from celebrating & I still can't believe it!  I was so surprised, the proposal was more than I ever imagined, it was absolutely perfect!

So, without further adieu.... A little ring porn!

    AHHHHHH  Congratulations!!!

    And I second the IRL celebration with an Eagles game.  Thanksgiving?  Lauren (I think, she was going to hound her in-laws about it) and I are going...you two should come!

    THANK YOU ALL!!! 

    Yaga, please please please come to Hoboken for the 1st Eagles game!!  Drink specials, all Eagles fans, ME, do you need anything more?!?! Also, once I calmed down, I was like omg I'm so glad I got my nails done yesterday because they look so good in pictures today!!

    Liv, I was super surprised after I walked in & he gave me flowers LOL.  We looked together in June & I narrowed it down to my favorites & he picked the final one :)

    I had to ask him when he got the ring (uh, you all saw my thread yesterday right?!), he actually got it before my Poppop had the stroke & all of that happened (beginning of August), & I clearly had no idea.

    SKP, I really wasn't expecting it SO soon.  I had a feeling it would be soonish but in no way, shape, or form did I think it would be today!  My nails were all chipped from dealing with our flooding from the hurricane & I only went yesterday because I got done work early... thank goodness because they were god awful yesterday LOL

    Peek, I shiit you not, I am there.  We will have SO much fun!  I will PM you all for your email addy's & the 4 of us can figure it out, I think that would be a blast!!

    The main stone is a 1.01ct cushion cut diamond, clarity is SI1, color is E & the sides total 0.4ct. 

    Did I do that right? 

    (Also this is a p&r because it's getting late & my alarm goes off at 5am. Womp Womp.)

    Liv, OH! My ring size is a 6.  Ha can you tell I have NO clue about rings other than they're pretty & sparkly?!


    THANK YOU ALL SO SO MUCH!!  I'm still pretty much in shock or on cloud 9 or something like that! 

    And you gals were so right!  I was asked when we're getting married 5 minutes after we got engaged & someone even asked how long until babies. WHOA NELLY SLOW DOWN!  

    But, we are thinking May 2013, a nice long engagement... time to save & just enjoy it & not have to rush.  The only thing I know for sure is that I want my mom to walk me down the aisle & so I asked her last night & made her cry all over again hahaha

    OMG YAY!!!! RDR I am soooo happy for you! :) The proposal story is uber sweet and sounds like me and BF (arguing over a date of something lol I love it!!)

    Your ring is GORGEOUS!!

    And you all that are getting together for an eagles game...BITE ME!! :) (and I say that with all the love in my heart :-P)

    rdr, has anyone told you that your ring is GORGEOUS? :) Your FI did an awesome job and I am so so very happy for you! The proposal sounds so sweet (though why do they have to get us all riled up before they ask? My FI made me think he'd lost my grandmother's diamonds!).

    yay!!!  I couldn't believe it when I saw the title of this post...  congrats!!

    your ring is absolutely stunning.  I love it, and I will be stalking all your photos from now on, trying to catch a glimpse of it.  :)

    ETA: I just found shoes' thread.... unfortunately rdr didn't post in that one, so she didn't have a predicted date. Turns out shoes was close for me... she guessed August and it was July1 :)

    Yea I was about to say if Shoes made a prediction for me I never saw it!  I think that was before I joined/started posting. 

    He did a great job lol especially with really throwing me off with the flowers & the I love you date... When I know I'm right I will fight to the death so I was really caught off guard when he pulled out the ring!!
