Tell me about the colors you chose to wear on your nails on your wedding day. Embarassingly, I have never had a mani/pedi. I'm going for my first one today and I'll get the colors that I'll use for the wedding to test them out... but I need to decide first!
On my hands I think I'll do a natural American manicure. Feet I don't know. The wedding colors are green and blue and I'm just not into that.

Re: Wedding day mani/pedi
I was going to do a French Manicure on my fingernails, but I spaced out and cut my nails (I usually have them VERY short) last week
My toes are going to be bright red (but you can't see them in the white dress, and then I'm changing to the traditional qipao for the ceremony - which is bright red - and my 4" gold pumps have a peep toe - so you will be able to see it at the reception
Thought about red on the toes, but FI thinks the French pedi is sexy.

[QUOTE]I had an American on my hands and hot pink on my feet. I don't care for French manicures, and it would have looked way too white with my champagne dress anyway.

I had to use the google to look this up. That's what I always want when I say 'french' manicure but they do the white part too chunky. I feel sooo stooopid for not knowing this terminology before. *hangs head in shame*
Vals, I didn't know until my wedding day. Somebody at the shop told me about it and said it was a softer look than French and I was like, "Yeah, I want that." When I was in my friend's wedding, I picked a nude to avoid a French and it looked like barfy beige paint on my nails all day. If only I'd known then...
Pirate, I'd go with the American if you're looking for natural. I'd assume they do American pedis too.
It's coming along
I do not like people touching my feet, but I suck it up for a pedicure. Don't get the callous remover on your first time.

My fingernails were OPI's bubble bath, DH picked the color. A very light shade of pick.
I did a french manicure on both my toes and nails. I did a light pink on my toes and plain/clear on my nails.
[QUOTE]I can't believe so many people have never had mani/pedi's before!! Get "spa" pedi's, then they massage your legs and it feels great!

That sounds soooooooo terrifying!
[QUOTE]French manicures last about 10 seconds on my nails before the white part chips. I chose a pale pink nail polish for my fingernails that made them just look really shiny and natural. I had hot pink on my toes. I do not like people touching my feet, but I suck it up for a pedicure. Don't get the callous remover on your first time.

hmm - I do the Ped Egg at home a lot....but now I'm debating if I should do callous remover or not - haha - I have to be on my feet a lot the next day!
