WORST BRIDAL SHOP EVER!!! (SUPER SUPER LONG)

My dress came in on Friday and I was so excited!! I went down Saturday and came out determined to tell EVERYONE I know to stay FAR AWAY from Kaira's Bridal!

The ONLY real wedding issues I have had have been with this STUPID dress shop and Saturday they truly made my hit list as a horrible vendor.

First let me back up to refresh memories and fill those in who don't know. I found the dress at a bridal shop close to my house. Round it cheaper at another shop and, because they were still an authorized retailer, I went there instead. they were so nice, and I really enjoyed the initial experience . Fast forward a month, i am sending my girls to get their bridesmaid dresses. The girl on the phone couldn't have been more rude and when I said I was disappointed in the service and may need to go somewhere else, she simply asked if I wanted to cancel my bridesmaid appointment. I complained and the owner promised they have never had a complaint and she would handle it.

Next few weeks bridesmaids went in to try on and pay for dresses, never had BAD customer service, but it was never good either and they were very pushy about which sizes the girls should order.

In November (maybe?) the bm dresses came in. 1 was ordered in BLACK when it was supposed to be pink and most dresses were WAY too big. I had to fight with the shop for weeks until they FINALLY agreed to fix the black dress order. (They continue to say it was MY fault it was ordered wrong although I left them clear instructions about the color of the dresses-all pink with black accents.

Then a bridesmaid drops out and they try to sell her dress to my sister (her dress is 2 sizes to big) at full price (although 1/2 of the money was already paid on the dress).

Then Friday they call and say my dress is in. Saturday my mom and I go down and the lace cap sleeves are missing. I ask if they are in the back, they aren't. They check the order and they ordered the WRONG DRESS. Apparently one style is with sleeves and theother is without. Now this shop did not have the sample in store but the picture shows it with the sleeves and I mentioned the sleeves on multiple occasions when placing the order. They NEVER mentioned the sleeves were a different style number or that the dress even had a sleeveless option.

I ask if they can just order the sleeves and she said maybe, they would have to call the designer and see because not all sleeves come separate from the dresses and even if they could they might be on back order and not come in until 4 months (which is AFTER my wedding). Then as I am giving her my credit card number (sleeves apparently cost $100) she says that I never mentioned the sleeves so how were they to know I wanted them.

First that's a lie (as I mentioned earlier) and second, I said, I know that is not correct but even if that were true I feel that since the dress is pictured with sleeves as the bridal shop who has the experience with dresses and KNEW there were 2 styles you should have asked me which one I wanted. She then says that oh wait, she now remembers that she did ask if I wanted sleeves for $100 more and I said no. I tell her. That is 100% not true because even if she had said they were $1000 more I still would have said yes because that is one of the MAIN reasons I fell in love with that dress. She looked at me blankly and the sales woman next to her stepped in, said that she will call the designer Tuesday and see what can be done. It may take 10 days, it may take 4 months. But assured me she will call on Tuesday to let me know butinsisted I give them $50 to order the sleeves then and there.

Needless to say, the sleeves are super important to me and I gave them the credit card number to charge AFTER they find out if they can get the sleeves at all and then only if they can come in in time. They fought me for several minutes on it saying that they would just give it back if they can't but I insisted nothing be charged until the sleeves are ordered. I am NOT going through the hassle of getting my money back if they can't be ordered.

I am DEVASTATED by this. Then as we are driving home I pull out my camera my mom was taking pictures on to see the dress without sleeves and just look at it and she didn't take a single picture. She was clicking the button but didn't wait for the picture to take! So I have NO PICTURES of me in my dress. I was a little upset about this but since the dress isn't right yet anyway, I will et a bunch of pictures to share once the sleeve issue is resolved (assuming that it does of course).

So PLEASE for your sake stay away from Kaira's Bridal in Phoenix and tell all your friends to do so too. WORST DRESS SHOP EVER!!!

Oh no!!!  I am so sorry to hear this!  What were the sleeves like?  Do you think an independent seamstress would be able to add similar sleeves?

that's my backup plan... but the sleeves were one of the main reasons for going with that dress. It really doesn't look the same at all without them and the shop should take responsibility for this I think. It's not my job to know how a dress is supposed to be ordered, it is there's I am working on getting their authorized retailers license taken away - they sold it for under the minimum stated cost by the designer in the first place which is a huge no no apparently.

I've been having issues with Kaira's Bridal as well. I'm so nervous that my BM dresses aren't going to come in on time. We ordered them last week for my May 15 wedding (I was waiting for one of the girls to get her size from out of state) and they were saying that even on a rush it wasn't guaranteed that they would be in! I am so stressed about this, it's ridiculous. I will definitely NOT be getting my alterations from them. One of my other BM's ended up ordering it from another store because they would never answer the phone or call her back. Today I tried calling to get them to fax me the paperwork so I can finally sign it and get the order in, and it took her nearly 3 hours to call me back.

I am definitely not pleased with them.

THANK YOU LADIES FOR YOUR SUPPORT. I posted an update - but just so you know, Maggie is shipping my sleeve March 5 (don't know why there is a delay) but they should be here 10 business days after that. I appreciate you taking the time to read (or skim through) my novel of a rant.

Mrs_AF I am sorry to hear you are going through the same thing with them. Just be firm on everything you say that always worked best for me - I NEVER backed down from them and held them accountable for EVERYTHING. Write down who you talk to, when and what they say, just in case you need taht information later and try to deal with the owner and Kimberly as much as possible - they are the only ones who get anything done.

I would continue to call them until you have a ship date on your BM dresses. Mine came in early luckily but getting the ship date will help you stay on top of the order. They should have it within a week or two of ordering.

If you need suggestions for alterations let me know. I am going to one who came highly recommended and is very well priced and flexible with timing on alterations. She is doing a few rush alterations for OOT bms for no additional cost.
