Dress

I was just browsing the web and happened upon the dress. I really like it what do yall think?

Re: Dress

  • I personally don't think it looks at all like a wedding dress. What is your wedding going to be like? This is very casual and costume-y.
  • Yeah I can see that. It was kind of interesting. My FI likes the corset style is why I came across it.

Not going to wear it for my wedding was just looking at dresses online with FI and he wanted me to look corset styles up.
  • Don't like it at all... is it the laces that your FI likes? Or how the corset shapes your body? IMO the laces on the front look really tacky and costume-y.

He likes the way it shapes my body. I like it but I dont think I would actually wear it out in public like you said it does look kind of costume-y. Maybe I would wear it for him for halloween next year cause he really likes it.

  • Agree with the others that it isn't very 'bridal' to me, and isn't something I would wear myself. Good idea to buy it for fun though if you think you and FI will enjoy it. Also, although that dress has a mock corset, it probably would not have a true corset effect in shaping your body as it appears to be more decorative than functional.
  • It looks awful.
  • I agree with PP who mentioned that this dress is non-functional as a corset. It won't do any of the shaping you are looking for. This site has some nice, functional corsets and corset dresses, but I'd think they are more appropriate for shows or at home wear:

If you'd like to wear corsets out somewhere, you could try wearing a real underbust over a more modest dress, something like this:

  • Cute summer sundress for a backyard BBQ.
  • I think the corset top is great, but there are more elegant ways to rock it.
Here are a couple of gowns I think utitlize the corset design beautifully.
