Fill up my netflix queue

I know we've done a lot of movie posts lately, but I'm really frustrated because in the past few days there have been like 10 movies I wanted to add to our queue but didn't right away and now I can't remember them.  So you get bonus points if you think of one that I wanted to add already.  I think I'm going through an older movie phase, so what older movies do you love? Either musicals, just old classics, childhood favorites, etc?

Re: Fill up my netflix queue

  • Lately I've watched..

    Food, Inc.
    Cars (I'm a toddler apparently)
Dawson's Creek (loves it...I need to just buy the seasons already)
    Skins (British tv show)
    An Affair to Remember

That's off the top of my head.  I'm a Netflix whore.

  • We should become friends on Netflix, so you can see my queue! It's like 300 movies long.
  • Have you seen:

    Across the Universe
    Chicago
    Hairspray (The new one)
    Couple's Retreat
    Little Miss Sunshine
    Zombieland

  • Thought of more:
    Love Actually
    About A Boy
    My Best Friend's Wedding
    Ocean's 11,12, and 13
  • Jill wins extra points! Across the universe was definitely one of the movies I was thinking of, even though I've already seen it

I didn't know you could be friends with people on netflix!

Whoa!  I thought my queue was bad with 100!

Do you guys use the "instant play" feature much?  I use it all the time but I'd say most people I know don't.  I like to get as much out of my $9/month as possible.  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />

  • Poli apparently we have pretty similar movie tastes. Just the combination of French Kiss and Boondock Saints makes me think you and your FI should match up well with me and H :)

And you kind of also win extra points, you reminded me that I wanted to re-watch breakfast at tiffany's and then after adding that I remembered To Catch a Thief!

  • I haven't used the instant play much, I'm actually a bit disappointed with the selection, but I mostly don't use it because I have no way to watch things instantly on my TV, and I rarely watch things on the computer.

  • Yay tlv! I'm happy to help :) I'll check our your queue as well. We should have a movie night date!

Andy, I use it quite literally every day. But that's mostly because the entire 10 seasons of Law & Order: SVU is on there. I'm almost finished with it! We watch quite a few movies on there as well. However, they have an excellent selection of bad horror movies, which is our favorite genre.

Jess, we actually have 390, counting our instant queue :)

You need to get meet me in st louis, bedknobs and broomsticks, mary poppins, high society, help!, and gone with the wind. Those are my favourite old movies off the top of my head.
  • Nebb wins points with meet me in st. louis, and poli wins even more with the lost boys!! Man, you guys are eerily good at reading my mind.
