Church Donation

I know this has been a topic before, but I thought I'd start a new thread because I can't seem to find the old one.

I know every church is different, but how much did you donate to your church for your wedding ceremony?

If there are any St. Anne's brides (Fair Lawn), how much did you donate?

TIA for your advice.

I think our church fee is $550 (that includes church, cantor, organist and a "wedding planner"). We are to tip the priest at our discretion; I think we're planning on giving him $100.

My church has a suggested donation of $850. I know. It's expensive. It sucks. :(

All told, it was $1k. $500 to church, $200 to priest, $200 for organist, $100 for vocalist. (I included the breakdown because some churches include the priest and/or music in their "donation" so be sure to ask what it includes.)

Our church is $600 -- and that's not even negotiable. I wanted to argue with the priest that it was too expensive, but my mother threatened me with a painful death if I complained. The organist charges a separate fee: $200.

$500, but only because we're out of parish
