Hey ladies! Just wondering if anyone had been daydreaming/planning on ideas for your wedding...I'm thinking of a few, and I'm just stuck.

    I mentioned to my mom that I didn't have a "theme" and she laughed pretty hard. She said the "theme" should just be having a good time celebrating our love :) 

    Still, it's hard to keep it all in perspective with all the trends and really put-together weddings. I actually had a nightmare last night that my family pulled together this haphazard wedding and was forcing me to get married this weekend! I was so sad because I didn't get to use any of my ideas or pick anything out and i realllllly didn't like the flowers they gave me.

    ...so no, i don't have a theme yet either :) I know I want to use blue, I'm toying with the idea of sort of jewel tones, I really like deep turquoise colors... but at the end of the day I just want to have a fun party for my friends and celebrate my new life with FI! :)

    awww!!! That's so awesome! You could do like a "diamonds are forever and sso is our love" kind of theme lol haha :)

    I've been thinking of different Romance things from movies, since my FI and I are movie lovers...example: the floating flowers in Tangled..our centerpieces might be a bowl (?) filled with water (not all the way, though)...in the bottom of the bowl would be a LED icecube light that changes colors slowly, while floating on the water are some candles...

    and I'm also thinking of some ideas from the movie "Stardust"...have you seen it?

    I dunno, it all looks great when I picture it in my mind haha

Not saying it can't be done!! But I know I want a more formal affair (and that's what my family wants/expects). As long as the whole feel of the event is cohesive (which might take a while, especially with over a year out), it's not like people will be judging you for having/not having a theme.     </div><div>I DO think themes work really well if the couple has a particular passion, or in more casual weddings where you can break with more traditions, or at unique venues, etc. I've seen a lot of carnival/game-themed weddings on blogs lately. SO cute!! </div><div>
    </div><div>I dunno though, I'm planning on having a coordinator/planner to help so maybe when I interview them, they'll come up with a "theme" that I'm comfortable with and doesn't make me feel like I'm throwing a prom :) It can be difficult to start from scratch though.</div>

    We do have a theme that is "The Perfect Blend". We are coffee afficianodos and thought it would be pretty fun to do(all of our guests would understand thank goodness) So we are using the colors violet, kiwi and espressoWink, instead of an alcoholic bar(we don't drink hardly ever), we will have an open coffee bar and homemade favors of chocolate covered espresso bean brownies! It suits us and at the end of the day, that's all that matters! Be happy and do what you BOTH LOVE!

It's going to be pretty cold in November, so a hot coffee bar will be just what the doctor ordered!     I'm getting married in Florida, so I'm rather relieved that it won't be TOO Chilly...although Florida has it's moments of being cold at night around that time of the year!!!

    I want to think of a theme title for my wedding, but I have no idea what to pick...I wish I was creative with titles like that!! All I am creative on is video collaborating haha.

    I like the table names being coffee...that's so cool!!! *props to you!*

    I live near Disney World, which is great cause I work there!!
    He and I love movies...we also love just being together. We keep saying "always and forever" to each other...I dunno...with my colors, I don't want to do a "movie" theme...and the place we're getting married at is letting us use their gorgeous silver picture frames for the table numbers...so at first, I was thinking "Picture Perfect" as the theme, since in the cocktail hour, there will be a slideshow of pictures of us playing...

    that looks really cute!!!!

    Here's my question for everyone::

    I know the theme should be something both bride and groom have in common or love...well, we love movies...but what could the theme be called with my colors being marine blue, ivory and a hint of silver? Cause now I'm thinking that the tables instead of being numbered could be our favorite movies :)

    What do you think?

    I got my theme idea!!! lol...

    I talked to the FI last night, cause I want him involved more with wedding plans and everything...we decided to have a movie themed wedding, and all the tables will be movie titles instead of table numbers! Our table will be "The Adjustment Bureau", because that is the movie we saw on our first date :)

    so I went on this website called http://www.specialeventticketing.com and was able to make a MOVIE TICKET for my invitations!! here's a picture...what do you think???
