Me and my fiancée are planningfor 10 days honey moon to Australia right after our wedding December. In our budget of 1000$and time what are the best places we can possibly visit?

    Um, for $1000 USD, you can't really get out of the US. I don't think 10 days is worth it even to go to Australia. Do you realize how long it takes to get there?

    Australia is an amazing country (and where I'm originally from) and while I encourage everyone and anyone to go there, there is no way in heck I'd go for only 10 days.

    The flight is long.  The jet-lag can be brutal.  Does the 10 days take into account you lose a day crossing the international date line?  ie You leave the US on say Monday night, and you don't get to Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane until Wednesday morning.

    The Aussie dollar is very, very strong against the US dollar at the moment.  $1000 for two people for 10 days wouldn't get you very far in NYC or San Francisco, so don't expect it to get you very far in Sydney or Melbourne.   December is also summer there, so with Christmas and school vacation time accomodation will be even more expensive.

    I do hope you get to see Australia one day - I just think you really need a lot more time and money to see it properly.
