Does it feel real yet or does it still just feel like you are planning your wedding?

After this weekend, it is starting to feel real! I have the dress hanging in my room and the tasting went great so I am starting to see how it is all coming together.

I agree with Ash (accept for different reasons). We're finally getting our small stuff taken care of and it's those little details that are making it feel like *our* wedding. Doing my first real DIY project, looking for plates for our table numbers, and picking our menu really made it so real. Especially when people ask if the wedding is soon and I can FINALLY say yes!!

We went to the Love and Respect Concerence this weekend and it made it feel VERY real.... I am SOOOO anxious now!

At times it hits me that it is real and less than 4 months away but at times it just seems like I am planning a big party.

I've had different moments of the getting real feeling. Each one makes it seem more real. Ones that come to mind are my first dress fitting, starting to address the invitations, and the pre-marital counseling. The only time FI has said it was getting real was when we started our counseling. It's so exciting!

It feels so real for me now, too. When people asked if I had a lot left to plan, I said for months now that we had to wait til the spring to take care of the last big details (cake tasting, hair/mu trial, final prep meeting with priest, final florist appointment). I just scheduled all of those appointments and they are only a month away, our last trip to NJ before the wedding. Those appointments, plus finishing our card box and having an idea of when my shower might be, I'm finally seeing that all the pieces are really coming together for a vision that has been two years in the making.

I've had different point of it getting real but this past weekend when I was working on designing invitations and the bouquets it suddenly hit me that we're getting married in a little more than 4 months! It's so exciting but also makes me a little anxious, in a good way!!

I also think its really goint to hit me how soon it is on Thursday. It is Carter's 4th birthday, and for 9 months now we have been telling Carter that the wedding isn't until he is 4.

It's starting to feel genuinely real - ordering the invitations and picking up my wedding dress started to really hit the nail on the head. I'm getting so excited!

When big things happen (ordering invites, getting my veil, etc) it feels real, but in every day life not so much. Idk, I think I'm just burned out.

We have been preparing him! We have a chain made for our coutdown and he takes one link off per day, so that will help! He has been talking about his "baby brother and sister" again lately so we reminding him AGAIN that there will be no baby brother or sister until AFTER the wedding. The other day he said "I really want the wedding to be before my birthday so my baby brother and sister can come to my birthday party." Love that boy! :)

For me it became real as of this weekend. We were narrowing down houses to physically take tours of and I worked a little more on the invites.

I think the thought of us getting our first house together (he got the house we live in while I was still in school) and working on stuff like invites and talking about the shower made me realize how close we really are. Prior to the entire house thing it just felt real when I was doing some DIY stuff like the invites.

yes! We started it at just over 300 days..... it still looks really long, I cant believe it used to be more than double its size! I will take a pic so you can see it! :)

Not really. My dress doesn't come in until April, we haven't ordered the invitations yet, we still don't have a ceremony...there is so much left to be done that it doesn't seem like its actually happening yet. We have our big planning meeting March 12 with the venue so hopefully that will make it seem more real.

At moments it seems real. When we picked up the wedding bands was a big moment that it felt real. Then this weekend I was talking to my mom. The Friday before the wedding I'm spending the night at their house. Well this weekend my mom got emotional about how that will be the last time I will stay under their roof by myself. That hit me...because I didn't even think about that.

Unfortunately, I still don't feel like its real. I'm starting to stress a little bit more...but it still hasn't really hit me yet. It's just like I'm going through the motions of planning. Once I send out my STDs (I know really late....) I think it might hit me more. I just got so much done and booked early, that I haven't done much recently.

I think it will feel more real after our trip to CA in April. I feel like things are floating around in idea land, but once it all is nailed down and we see everything put together (and have my dress fitting) it will be overwhelming.

I still can't wrpa my head around going to MY shower...

It is a bit scary how real it all feels. Everything is pretty much done so now we just need to start paying things off. It's almost 3 months away!!! Can't wait!!!

It's starting to feel real. Picking out the invitations and programs made it seem very real yesterday. I'm sure it won't actually hit me until I'm dropping off the wedding invitations at the post office.

For me, its more the realization that "Holy Crap I have a lot to do in 4 months!!" I'm getting a little stressed about it, but then I have a drink and forget about it for while... lol! I do feel like I'm getting stuff done but the list to get done is longer.

The first time it really felt real for me was after our engagement party on December 30. It definitely feels real now, but at the same time I've been planning for so long (since July 2010) that I still feel like I have a lot of time because I've always had a lot of time, if that makes sense. Like, sometimes it's hard for me to realize that I don't have a lot of time left!
