Wow I completely agree with all those things! Ohh and I looooove the Keuring! I've decided that's going to be my birthday present to myself!

Along with those things, I like work when

- My boss isn't here
- People aren't asking me the "stupid question of the day"
- When the office closes early
- Everyone else leaves for the day and I get that last hour to focus on my work instead of helping everyone else

Kat and Soon- AGREED on all

- there are random odd jobs to do
- I work front desk all day
- My mom works (I don't have to drive in!)
- it's really bad out so I call in and cuddle with my puppy till noon!
but no snow today so I'm at work...

Haha , i love this post ! For me it goes as follows :

My store manager isn't there - she's an idiot and getting shipped out to a crap store at the end of the week anyway

When customers don't treat me as a second class citizen just because i work retail

When my co workers bring in food - especially cake!

When i don't have to work alone or it's at least busy so i don't go insane and start shopping for stuff i don't need !

i actually had a really good night at work last evening and now have two days off and so i feel accomplished..for once. Gotta take the good with the bad

And speaking of work.... My job can be a bit hard to handle at times, like this morning. I work at a hospice agency and some days it doesn't get to me but during our team meeting this morning they were talking about a young patient of ours and about how loving and sweet her and her husband are around each other.... Just made me stop and think how precious life is and not to take one moment for granted!

(I just felt the need to share that)

I have a love/hate relationship with work goodies.

On the one hand, yay, free goodies!

On the other, dammit, this screws up my carefully planned meals for today, and how will this brownie impact my weight loss efforts? 20 pounds isn't going to magically disappear.

Literally every week since before Christmas, someone has brought in treats at least once a week, sometimes 3-4 times a week. It gets frustrating sometimes trying to resist temptation!

ps. I LOVE my Keurig although it has decided not to brew anymore. It started being temperamental this week and I just got it for Christmas! I'll be calling tonight to see what they can do to fix it.

I agree with pretty much everything everyone has said so far! haha

My list:
- When my boss isn't here. She's a volunteer so she pops in and out and it DRIVES ME!
- When a certain member of our board leaves me alone and lets me do my work.
- When I can close my door and listen to music and just jam while working.
- When I get to field press calls! (PR nerd right here, folks!)
- When my office isn't cold.

Another one for when the supervisor isn't around.

When my Radiologists are in a good mood.

When we are really busy (makes the day go by faster)

When doctors scripts are written clearly

When I have my fav. co-workers around to make me waste my time doing nothing

Jeter - Man I cannot even imagine having a job like that (hospice work). Thanks for reminding us that any day above ground beats the alternative! Even if we're working!

Original question... work is better when...
- I have lunch plans with friends or colleagues I enjoy (I work from home so it gets lonely)
- My client is based somewhere fabulous (= sunny and beach)
- There's a check in my mailbox,

Otherwise, it's all pretty darned good.
