Bachelorette Ideas - Portland

Hi,

We're thinking of having the bride's bachelorette in Portland (we're in MA) and are looking for ideas of places to go and things to do. A few things to note: the bachie will be in February or March (cold!) and we'll have a few under 21s with us. We're thinking of finding a fun activity for the day, followed by dinner, and then bars/clubs for the 21+.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

I sort of have the same problem with 2 of my bridesmaids being under 21.

For the over 21 part Oasis is great for drinks and dancing, if you wanted to be a little "classier" club Pearl is good- but careful they do have a dress code

I was thinking for the under 21 some sort of spa experience but its so expensive.
I have never been to this place but the prices are not too bad

there is always indoor karting in scarborough

I have herd of plenty of scavenger hunt type things in the mall

hmm if i have other suggestions i willl add but theres a start

Soakology is affordable and nice to do with girlfriends - plus the ladies can pick what price level they're comfortable with.  Who doesn't like their feet rubbed while drinking tea?    For the 21+ crowd you can reserve "rooms" at Pearl on Fore Street, it's a small space but nice. (They aren't rooms as much as areas sectioned off by sheer fabric).  There is a dress code, but you can still wear jeans.    If some of the members of your bridal party are over 18 but under 21 and you're looking for something a little "wild" you could check out Nomia on Exchange Street in Portland.  And of course, there's always Condom Sense.  Have fun!!

Thanks so much for the ideas ladies! I personally like the foodie tour. That sounds right up our alley! The MOH and I are going to discuss and I'll let you know if we have any specific questions. But in the meantime, please keep the ideas coming!

I second Soakology! I was just there with my mom for our birthdays and we were saying how it would be the perfect place for a bridal party get together. My friend also did one of those paint your own pottery places for her bachelorette. She was able to reserve a private room and they had beverages and food. I think it was Color Me Mine on Commercial St. Actually yes - here is a link specifically for brides! http://www.portland.colormemine.com/Bridal.tpl

The Maine Foodie Tours look amazing!

    Have fun!!

I second the idea of the Foodie Tour. Maine Foodie Tours is fantastic. I think that would be a great daytime activity.

Another idea...this might be a little tame for a daytime activity...but Bayside Bowl opened up recently in Portland. It's a new bowling alley, but has a really funky bar and food.

We have had two Bachelorette Parties at Fuiji on Exchange Street and it's an absolute blast! The have hibachi tables downstairs where the chef cooks your food right in front of you. I highly recommend it!
