his stuff is devine. his wedding cake was awesome. i love when the accountant brings in pastries from his bakery. jean marc's attitude is total asshat, but i'm not sure how much that matters. we looked in to his cakes, they run $800-900.

I'm not a fan of his cakes or his less-than-professional attitude. DH and I scheduled a tasting with him, and when we arrived were given a box with  a  quartered 10" round sheet cake with 4 fillings. I was really quite shocked when a bakery assistant rang us up and was prepared to send us on our way. Bad service aside, I felt that the cake was too light, lacked any flavor at all, the icing was overly sweet, and we were too limited in terms of options.

People in the area seem to love this bakery, but I think your money would be better spent at the Giant Eagle bakery.

The cake we got at our "tasting".

He was amazing..  The cake was the best wedding cake I have ever tasted.  He was super easy to work with as well, did the decorations exactly as I requested.

We did a 4-tier cake with a sheet for somewhere between $900-$1000 (160 people).  We did both the strawberry and raspberry filling.

At the tasting for the Fairmont, I did try their cakes and was not at all impressed.  So happy we didn't go with them -  Jean-Marc's cakes are divine.  And on your one year anniversary he gives you a small cake to celebrate with!
