Reception Question - Need opinions

We are having a diy reception where we are doing our own food along with our family and friends help of course.  It is at our church hall and we are allowed to provide beer.  My question is I don't really want to do a keg because I can't think of a way to make it look nice.  But I don't know how to make cans/bottles of beer look nice either.  Does anyone have any suggestions??

As a note - we are on a budget so there is no hiring a barenter to take care of that.  We already have to hire a police officer if we decide to have alcohol.

Thanks.

At Target they have large galvanized buckets in various colors...I got some for cans of pop at my wedding.
We are just putting the pop in them and then covering them with ice.  I think they will look nice.
I guess it just depends on what style you are going for at your wedding...that is a good option though!

Supply glasses so that people have to pour the beer into a glass instead of walking around with a can or bottle. The glasses don't have to match. You could get them cheap at GoodWill or St Vincent De Paul. You can hire/select someone to 'bartender' to make sure people use the glasses provided or even pour for your guests. Just a thought.

Our kegs are going in what my FI refers to as his "kegerator."  Just google the word and you will find it; his holds two kegs at a time.  It going to sit outsidethe barn somehwere.  For my sister's wedding, we put the kegs in big plastic tubs with dry ice and water, and it sat outside the barn.  Maybe you could find a kegerator to rent or set the keg outside the church somewher (or even a closet/small room).
