Day of pictures

Where did/are you go to take pictures after the ceremony? I'm at a total loss on where to go. My ceremony is in Redford and the reception is in Warren so I'm trying to find a place around those areas. My photog suggested Mill Race in Northville but I just read that there is a garage sale going on there the day of the wedding so i'm not sure that going there is the best idea still...

I think that for Mill Race, if you are not getting married there, you need to have written permission to have your photos taken there.

That being said, downtown Northville has a cider mill and the town itself is really cute!

Northville seems a bit out of your way if your ceremony is in Redford and the reception is in Warren. Unfortunately, I don't have any recommendations in your area, but Northville seems like it would be a PITA.

There is a cute park in St. Clair Shores called Wahby park. It is in front of Blossom Heath, you don't need permission. I think it is at like 9 and jefferson! Check it out! It is where we are getting married!

Where is Warren and how much time do you have? WE're getting married at George George Memorial Park and it has amazing places for pics.

Since redford and warren aren't that close - I'd recommend taking them along the way. if you're not really pressed for time - try downtown Detroit - the fox, comerica park, belle isle, hart plaza, the ren cen, the people mover, etc.

Fraklin Cider Mill in Fraklin (12 mile/northwestern) area.
my sister did her engagement pictures at Blossom Heath park and will take day of pictures there also. her photos were beautiful! (PP suggested this park in SCS's)

Between Redford & Warren, north of I-696, Southfield Rd & Beverly Rd (13 1/2 Mile) there is Beverly Hills Park, link here:
http://www.villagebeverlyhills.com/pavilion.htm . They have a gazebo and a pavilion with a fireplace at one end (hopefully they don't have a wedding that day!)

There is a fountain & sculpture in front of Warren's city hall on Van Dyke, kind of cool. Inside the main building there is an atrium in front of the main library entrance, with a lot of glass walls.

The Warren City Fair will be going on at Halmich Park, if you wanted pics around some amusement park rides or things like that.

While north of Warren, there is also Yates Cider Mill, which is roughly Dequindre and 24 Mile Rd.

Redford is next to Livonia, and the site of our wedding, Greenmead Village, is at 8 Mile & Newburgh. They have historic buildings, and lovely gardens. I doubt they'd chase you away from taking pictures, it is a city run park.

I guess it depends on how much time you have.
