Hello

I'm looking for some feedback for our 2014 wedding. I m likely going to have it on a Friday to save some money. I'm looking for a place to have the ceremony and reception all in one location that has some hotel rooms on site. We love the feel of something grand and the food will be extremely important. Does anybody have any suggestions? Anywhere around the Toronto area would be fine. I'm unsure of the month as of yet...does anyone know if you get a further discount for a Friday wedding if its off season or is the cost the same no matter what time of year it is for Fridays?

Definitely yes, you will get an even better discount if you have it on a Friday in off season. That's exactly what happened with my wedding - we originally planned it for a Friday in September but found out that having it November would cost us 4K less. Definitely worth it.

As for your original question - not sure what your budget is - but take a look at the Fairmont Royal York; the Thompson Hotel, The Cosmopolitan, the Westin Harbour. If you're willing to go outside the downtown core, check out Toscana in Vaughan, The Grand Victorian in Mississauga.

We got married at the Royal York in 2010 in the Imperial Room and with great food and drink, it was within your budget for sure (we had 160 as well). Plus it has hotel rooms and it was close to all transit. Their hotel prices for guests were reasonable too.
