Saw your post on the RSVP question... What did you do about people that RSVPed a week before? Did you just give an updated number to your caterer?

Our wedding is at the beach too, and I'm worried about this as well. I'm stressing about people RSVPing after I send in the number to the caterer, and then us being charged more because we added them late and/or us not have enough seating for everyone because they RSVPed after I reserved our rentals.

I'm sure it isn't as bad as I am thinking it could be, but you know..

    Our caterer needs a minimum head count 14 days before the event. We can add people up to 2 days before.  Maybe ask if they have separate dates for each number.

    We had people changing their RSVPs up to 4 days before the wedding. YES, i was so irritated at these people. Anyways, we dealt with it. It took some table rearranging and talk with our venue, but we handled it. 

    Most caters probably would be able to handle a change in a few people.  Also, for rentals, you should probably think about ordering a couple extras of things anyways.  We ended up ordering a few extra chairs in case anything happened.  Our coordinator had mentioned that having an extra of some things can make life so much easier if something unexpected happens.

    it didn't bother me at all but check on what mary said....ask if they have different dates for each? usually you can add people 2-3 days before the wedding.
    we were also having buffet style so that made it much more easier to add people.

    to be on the safe side i allowed for at least four extra chairs when i finalized my rentals.
