Oh my gosh. Patrick is in with his case manager finding out about his MEB results.

This is it. What we've been waiting SO long for.

What he'll find out is what his service connected disability is, what his retirement pay will be for the rest of his life, what his other retirement benefits will be, and most importantly WHEN HE'LL BE OUT!! That means he'll be HERE!! Not 2 hours away from me anymore! OMG!

Please say a prayer for a GREAT response from his PEBLO.

YAY! I heard back from him! We submitted this claim in November 2011 so it's been a long time coming

But we're all set to go! He can choose his last day in the Air Force (he's choosing the beginning of Sept + 2 months of leave so he'll be here for 2 months with a pay check coming in, which is awesome). He found out his disability rating and it is just as good as we could have prayed for. I can't believe it came back so high. This means great things for us in the future

He'll be Temporarily Retired starting in Oct/Nov for 6-14 months before he's officially released.

Not yet. Due to his injury and the difficulties he's had since (PTSD/TBI) He will have to completely leave his career field (he has a background in SWAT and K9 Police), so it's like starting fresh, which is scary when your career field was a *perfect* fit for you :(

What is temporarily retired? Will he have to go back annually to continue the Evals of ratings?
