Want a fun field trip?

Stroll on over to the maids & moms board for this little gem.  I'm hoping it's MUD, but perhaps not.  And if it's not, there's a serious wake-up call needed here.

"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146

  • Yeah, when I saw that I thought "please be MUD" but figured I should give advice just in case.

Why do people get so crazy over pregnancy??

  • Hahaha.

I know my sister and her husband are going to start trying soon, and there's a very big possibility that she'll be pregnant at my wedding.  But honestly, as long as she's not giving birth the day of the wedding, I don't care and that's only because 1) I want her at my wedding and 2) I want to be at the birth of my niece or nephew!

But demoting someone because they're pregnant makes no sense.  That's like not asking someone because you don't think they're pretty enough for your pictures.  Or too pretty to stand next to.

  • If one of my bridesbitches decided to be KU for MY wedding, I would just make sure I chose a dress color/syle that would point out that she is really, really, really fat, require her to wear spiked heels, and make her hold my dress when I pee so she can experience someone elses pee up close.  Then seat her next to the most religious guests I know so they can question her morals all night long.

  • I read it slightly wrong. It says that the bm's attention will be only on the baby. I thought it said that the guests' attention will be on the baby. Regardless, she should not have demoted or assumed that having a baby was a huge crime and totally out of the blue.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Aerin - latest gossip:  No one threw friend's sister (G) a bridal shower.  At pressure from her mom, my friend (K) offered to host one.  G started to dictate where they could have the shower, when it was going to be, what type of shower, etc.  She even took the shower invites from K's house so that she could send them out herself.  Basically, K has been told that all she has to do is bring to food.  K's not entirely sure how she's going to proceed, but she's pretty pissed.

  • Wow, that's really over the top.  I'm not even getting a bridal shower because the wedding is tiny and my family is all over the place, so it just didn't work out.  Kind of sucks, but whatever.

I can't stand high maintenance women.  They give the rest of us a bad name.

Yes, they do!  BF's ex wife was very high maintenance.  At times when I think I am on the verge with something, I get a little paranoid and he just laughs and says "no, you are just fine."  I just don't want him thinking "oh geez, another one, they're all the same"

  • hmm...my moh recently found out she is pregnant too! She is due a month after the wedding, so I guess I should probably demote her or kick her out so she doesn't get stressed from the tasks of purchasing her dress and showing up to the wedding. What do you guys think? I mean I never really liked her anyway..

    wooooowwwww!!
