I think it's been a while since I've seen a post like this. I know we've gotten lots done since the last post. So... Tell me ladies, what have you gotten done so far?

Me:

Dress- Check

Venue- Check

Centerpieces- Check (MIL is making them. I've purchased all the necessities.)

Officiant- Check (BIL is a pastor and has agreed to do the honors.

)

Caterer- Check

Photographer- Check (We should have our engagements pics tomorrow.)

DOC- Check

Limo SVC- Check

Honeymoon- Check

Flowers- Waiting on contract (hope for this to be a check this week)

We have been engaged just over a year now so I did lots of planning last year. We have everything done from dress and attite, rings, rehersal dinner, hotel rooms blocked... you name it, its finished!

Wow you guys make me feel bad! All we have is the Church and reception site's, which includes catering and alcohol. I've been looking at idea's for dresses online and will hopefully actually start looking next weekend with our Mom's and his sister. I've also been looking online for idea's for flowers etc. We are living out of town and we just got engaged on Christmas day and I booked the church and receptions site the next week. I need to plan a trip back there so I can look into photographers and florists. That's the next thing on my list. I sure hope those of you who have everything done already have been engaged for a while, otherwise I feel like a slacker!

We have pretty much everything done (venue, photographer, videographer, limo, church, dress, STDs sent, etc) except bridesmaid dresses, tuxes, wedding bands (picked out just not purchased), favors (we are bottling my dad's homemade wine, just need to buy labels and bottles) and then DIY projects which include finishing invites, programs and finalizing music for the church ceremony and then some small things like my shoes, accessories, Bridal party gifts
We have been engaged since Dec 2010 so i got it all done right away....

Oh, I forgot to mention that I've already sent out the save-the-dates. We don't have the invites yet though. Hair & make-up is another one I don't have. My photographer is going to be making my guestbook. I think that's all I missed.

Working on
tryin to decide what color to get my veil in, I'm not exactly sure what white my dress is
centerpeices. Searching ebay daily to get the lanterns we want. Got 3 so far, just need to see if they work, need 5 more. bought the rest of the decor last week so far and need to just get working on the small stuff for it - tiny campfire & tiny tent, we're sort of doing a camping theme
Getting FI's butt moving on the officiant, I gave him that job since it's someone his mom knows
Getting him moving on his ring since he's quite particular
sure order our cake topper soon from a vendor on etsy

Things confused about:
Still in the fence about a photobooth which makes me just want to scrap it and use that money toward the honeymoon. Everytime I look at my budget and see us being able to get that more below it gets me excited!
And not sure about a limo since the venue is about 2 miles away from the house, I find it silly but also don't want to ride in our matchbox cars all dressed up, so we'll see
Rehersal dinner: have it at a location and then meet & greet at a bar after or have it at our house and get it catered and his mom said her and his sister would clean up after

Wow that's long but thanks for this post really made me stop and think about what all I need to finish in the next 8 months. Not to mention I'm a BM in my MOH's wedding a month before mine so who knows what that will add.

Luckily FIL's are covering the rehersal dinner so that's one thing I don't have to deal with.

On the fence as it seems some pp are too about the photobooth. saw freddie james dj/photobooth at the bridal fair at the brookridge party center last year and it seemed like loads of fun but that 700-1000 could definitely be spent else where, like the honeymoon.

definitely open to suggestions for anything i don't have. finding it hard to find vendors i would like to meet with ....

Centerpieces....still trying to figure out how I will transport all the glassware for the centerpieces that I'm thinking of doing

Centerpiece ideas (still not for sure yet - thinking about lace covered jars to match my dress)

Cake baker (a friend of the family has offered to bake our cake as his gift bless his heart - will be looking at pics soon but I know I want red velvet)

I think that's it so far. :-) My friends and family keep telling me that I can slack off, but I would like to have everything done that I can ahead of time so that I'm not a basket case right before my wedding (which is October 13th).
