2 hours left in my day, and it's not going any faster.
This day has been nothing but non-stop phone calls asking if we are open our telling me they have a leak.
Joy! It could be worse, my marketing manager has been without power for 15 hours now and her basement is flooded, my boss just left to take her a generator. Nice guy that he is.
Whats up?
Re: So it's only 3?
I'm good, a bit sluggish today- hopefully that gets better

How cute!
[QUOTE]It's only lunch time here so I'm looking at over 4.5 more hours. I've been glued to the news and FB keeping an eye on my East coast friends. What a nightmare, but so far everyone is ok even if their property isn't and that's what matters.

Same here- not the 4.5 hours just the east coast stuff. I have friends coming in from scottsdale this weekend for the wedding :) We were actually out there in May- its beautiful!

So far I've heard from 2 and they are ok, except one has been without power for quite awhile. It's such a mess, I cant even imagine.
[QUOTE]Hello all. Two more hours of work, then nail appt, then Madonna. Although I just got an email with her schedule of events and she doesn't even take the stage until 10:30. Ugh. I'm going to be one tired lady tomorrow. We actually have quite a few clients in the northeast but I think most of them are closed. I haven't heard of anything too awful from any of them yet.

I'm sorry but there is no way in ths world I would spend money on her let alone stay up past my bedtime. This woman needs her sleep!
[QUOTE]If Billy Joel. Elton John, Phil Collins, Journey (with Steve Perry), Sting and Duran Duran put on a concert together that started at 10:30, I'd go. Madonna, while I like her, I just don't like her that much. :)

I gotta say, even your list wouldnt keep me up ;)
I'm very stingy!
I'm making my kitty litter cakes for tomorrow, just like I figured I'd end up doing. I have to pick up DD after her dance class in an hour, then supper, workout and coma to follow.
I've been watching the news coverage of the hurricane and haven't heard anything from my relatives down that way yet, but I know they were without power. I can't even imagine - this makes the hurricane we had a few years back look like a 'little bit of rain'.
Only 1 here and this feels like the longest day ever. At 9am I thought it was noon. Not good!

Unfortnately they just aren't equipped like other areas are- down here we build to hurricaine standards, have shutters, the power companies are ready and equipped. Up there they're like what do we do with the water? Hopefully it'll get cleaned up quickly and the death toll doesn't go extremely high :/
Harry Connick falls in the "to be heard and not seen" category for me. Except, I love him as an actor so never mind.
I couldn't stay awake for a concert that started at 10:30. I hope it's a good show, jcb.
[QUOTE]This is the first time Madonna's ever graced KC with her presence and probably the only time I'll ever get to see her live. I figured I could get through one day of being tired.

Gonna be honest, off the top of my head I cant think of anyone I would stay awake for on a week night. I'm old! <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue out" title="Tongue out" />

And you're right - Canada doesn't need any closed-minded people up this way! We've got enough of our own without importing more.
6 kitty litter cakes later and I'm pooped (pun intended).
I just got approval on a huge book order, so I've been busy getting records for the new books.
Glad to hear everyone is pretty safe, we got some freak snow action and lost power for a bit, but nothing compared to what the people on the coast are going to. The images on the news are enough to break my heart, I can't imagine actually living them.
Meat-fest sounds glorious! Maybe H will have second dinner when I get home.
We've been toying with the idea of going to a Halloween dance at the college where I work. It might be a little weird, since we aren't students, but we love dancing and don't get to do it very often.
