Good Morning! I slept weird last night - strange Jack Bauer getting in shoot out type dreams. We REALLY need to finish watching 24 on DVD so I can get back to normal, happy dreams.

Good morning. Want to know something silly? I'm taking my *very* pregnant gf out for dinner either tonight or tomorrow, and I'm thinking about making her bring her hospital bag in the car just in case, so that if she goes into labor all her H has to do is meet us there!

Omg I know. Luckily we'll be literally around the corner from the hospital, but I'm terrified that she'll start and I'll forget how to get there or something.

I am SUPER excited for her though. She's not actually due til the 15th, but she's tiny so she is haaa-uge!

Morning.

I get to play tourist today. One of my BM is on a cruise that just docked here in St Thomas. I get to take her, her DH and their 18 month old around the island. I have not seen them in 17 months. So I'm pretty excited. Although I'm not sure what to do with a 18 month old.

Hi hi hi!! I'm currently sitting in our living room, looking at SUNSHINE!! Even though it was sunny a lot more in Italy, we never got it into our apartment, so I'm enjoying this brightness (even though it's cooold outside)

B!! I'm so excited to meet Lil'B!!

H and I are going to register with the state tomorrow, and then we're going apartment hunting. Long day!

I would love to have 11 days until vacation. Where are you going in Florida? We aren't leaving until June 26th (thanks to T's soccer schedule). We've taken a vacation every Memorial Day since we've been together and now this year it's all messed up because of his soccer schedule. He even has a tournament on our first anniversary. :(

Morning! Today is my last day of work. We drive up to Chicago tomorrow, get our marriage license and meet with the pastor Thursday, drop all our stuff off at the venue, hang out with OOT friends and have our RD Friday, and wedding Saturday.

F/U to the mom situation: My sister emailed me yesterday I that my mom has been driving her crazy lately too and she said that she'd basically told her to calm down, too. I think her hearing it from two people in one day made her stop and think about how she's been behaving lately. She called last night and was really nice to me, and basically wanted to do a "okay, let's go over the details one final time so I can relax" thing. She didn't apologize or anything, but she seemed pretty calm and I think things are okay now. So, things are much better. Thanks for the advice yesterday--you guys always know what to do.

I'm going to Disney (clutch your pearls, mouse haters) with my MIL, 3 of her sisters, and 2 of their daughters. They take a girls-only trip every year so I am honored to be included. :) She has 5 sisters total and when they get together it's a pretty crazy sight. The 2 cousins are my same age and a couple years older, so we get along really well which is awesome.

That is sucky that soccer is messing up your plans! I know dates are not that big of a deal in the scheme of things but I am sentimental about stuff like that anyway.

Disney sounds awesome! I bet it'll be a great girls trip!

Florida at the end of June is going to be SO.FREAKING.HOT.............That's the biggest part that sucks. It's still bearable during Memorial weekend. Oh well, I'll just stay in the water, which is the whole point anyhow. Although, this oil spill is starting to worry me. I hope (and not just for the sake of my vacation) but for all of the lives it's messing with in the gulf that they get that under control and the clean up started very soon.

Man. That oil spill thing is insane. I can't believe they kind of let it go for so long. I mean, I know there were people out there immediately, but it seems like they weren't doing much about it.

And I also like the Bill Maher quote that's been going around: "Everyone who was chanting drill baby drill should report to the Gulf for cleanup."

It just seems like things should be on stand by to stop the oil if explosions and leaks like this happen. It's almost like they're planning their attack now, but that's just too damn late!!!! They're trying to do one thing to stop them now, but if that doesn't work they have to drill more holes or something that take 3 months to finish. Can you imagine if this oil continues to spill for 3 more months? I'm not expert, but this is just unacceptable!

I haven't been watching it too closely, but isn't there like...nothing they can do? I thought I read that it's like, 500 miles deep or something.

I honestly don't know. You'd think I would since I live in a refinery town, my dad works at BP and it's all anyone down here can talk about.

The oil thing is SO SAD. I can hardly handle it. They've been showing the animals lately and the effect the oil has on them, and it just kills me. Poor little buggers.
