I am not engaged ...yet. I just found out he bought the ring!!!!!!!!!!!! (we have talked about getting married, and have looked at rings, found a ring, and put it on layaway but it didn't need to be payed off until Dec) and now I am so anxious to GET IT ALREADY lol no I am excited to have him propose, but I know he will do it in a special way... I wonder if he has already asked my dad... Ugh, the suspense is killinggg me. I will keep you posted... Fingers crossed for a new "omg im engaged" post

OMG! I just got engaged yesterday but I feel your pain. My FI bought my ring back in Sept. '09 (I only know because he slipped). I was so anxious to just get it over with, I was constantly wondering what he was planning or thinking. I thought he asked my dad when he first got it, turns out he only asked him last Tuesday! And in the end my FI came up with a really romantic idea to propose on a horse and carraige ride (which I LOVE). It was SOOO worth the wait, I just hope you don't have to wait as long

I knew a few weeks before it happened, FI wasn't as sly as he thought he was! And the anxiety was killing me...I'll admit it; I couldn't wait to see the ring

When he finally proposed he was mad that I didn't cry, instead I had a cheesy grin on my face because I totally know it was coming! Don't worry, it was at our friends wedding....and the second the bride asked if I said yes I broke into tears.

We went ring shopping in february of this year, and I picked it out and everything. We bought it that day, but he wouldn't let me have it until Valentines day. He didn't propose on Valentines, but two days later while making our dinner.

My boyfriend and I just went ring 'browsing' this weekend.
We've been talking wedding plans and making a future together, but I don't want to start gushing about it to everyone until we're actually engaged.
So now I'm waiting, rather impatiently/exited/anxiously for the proposal.
It's April & he said that soonest he wants to propose is July.
I'm hoping it's to throw me off because I'm graduating in 2 weeks!!!

So exciting! We just went to the store this past weekend to approve of the diamond that he pre-ordered. I wasn't supposed to know about that, but between my impatience and his inability to keep a secret, I found out.
Definately be patient. He will ask when he has a plan that is good enough to surprise you with!

It certainly is frustrating knowing that he has the ring. FI and I went ring browsing in October (he went and bought it the day after we went looking) and he didn't pop the question until February! He made me promise not to tell anyone that he had a ring, as he wanted to wait and share our excitement until we were actually engaged. I agreed with him, but was so anxious to tell someone, so I told my boss's wife when she stopped in the office one day (I knew word would never get back to FI that she knew). As hard as it was to wait, it was totally worth it. He gave me the most amazing proposal!
