Yarg. Columbus is so effing expensive for chair rentals. WTF?! There is a place in Ann Arbor that rents Chiavari's for 4.95 including set up and delivery. Whyyy can't we have something like that? Any suggestions ladies as far as chair rentals? I'm going to the show this weekend and will look there, but it's going to be a pain to drag Fi through everything.

    I couldn't find Chiavari's for anything under 8.00 for set up/tear down included.

    I ended up deciding to go with Resin Garden Chairs from Main Events Party Rental. I believe I'm paying around 2.50 per chair and they look nice and IMHO they are more comfy than the Chiavari's.

    There is no reason you can't negotiate with vendors. I am paying less for my reception food, photographer, invitations, etc. Really, call places up and tell them what you are willing to pay. It's worked well for me so far :)

    DD rented Chivari chairs (in SW Ohio) and people commented to me about how wobbly they were. It could have just been those particular chairs from that vendor but it may be that a lost of the rental Chivari's are like that. I'd suggest sitting in several of them from the vendors. Remember your guests will come in all sizes so you want something sturdy.

    Oh and I'd forgotten it because I didn't see it but when one of the groomsmen sat down his chair actually broke. Be sure the vendor brings a couple extra chairs (at no cost) in case this happens.

    The cheapest place I've found them at is Main Events Party Rentals - but it is based out of Newark. Otherwise, I haven't seen anywhere with good prices at all. They are very expensive!
